   My wife and I are visiting Austin staying in town. The location to our hotel was a 6 minute walk. Nice outside space and the drinks and food were both good.

   Surprisingly not busy for a Friday night, which made it quieter, which was nice. Took forever to get a waiter, took longer for drinks. All of our food didn’t come out, and we didn’t see another employee for a while to ask about it. We’ve dined at Pelon’s a few times. This was our worst experience.

   We had a large reservation for 11 people, during peak friday night. I arrived with my husband 5 minutes early and the table was ready for us, with chips and salsa and waters already set out. They let us sit without our entire party (who was arriving sporadically for the next 10 minutes) and the waiter was on point getting drink orders and food. They split the check no questions asked, and everything was incredibly easy for us. Food was good, ambiance is super cute, and drinks were delicious. We will definitely be back and we were so happy with everything!

   I understand TexMex is supposed to be greasy, but this was to the point of gross. Chips were so hard, they could break a tooth. And my margarita tasted like tequila and lime only. Next time I'm in Austin, I'll skip this place.

   The food was excellent. Don’t visit without ordering the queso! Loretta and Marc took care of our table, and they were amazing. Highly recommend Pelon’s!

   The service wasn't great, quite slow and the waitress frequently seemed confused. Our order was simple, only 3 items, and the waitress couldn't remember it/wasn't listening closely. The food wasn't overly spiced, the flautas were pretty plain but the orange jicama salad was nice and fresh. Prices were reasonable. Probably wouldn't recommend, there are more interesting bars and restaurants to try in Austin.

   Food was great! Service was slow and the restaurant wasn’t very busy but it won’t stop me from going back.

    Great food, atmosphere, and location. In town to visit daughter’s and found this great place. Made reservations, and seated quickly. Staff was very friendly, and quick service.
