Built from a converted bank, Paupers' sweeping ceilings, old world flourishes, and gridiron décor are a taste of authenticity that is becoming scarce in Toronto. Our menu is a blend of familiar grub and fresh Canadian pub cuisine, with a selection of local craft beers and exciting signature cocktails.     We had a group of seven and were able to sit in a little “snug” area and had a great time - able to talk and not be a bother to others, and not have a lot of other noise. The food was really good and our servers were really excellent to us. We had a great evening!! Thank you Paupers!!

    Well we arrived at the moment when our server was leaving, so after we settled up with them we didn't see another server for a good 40 minutes! Also, I ordered a couple of cocktails that didn't taste like they had any alcohol in them. Not that that is particularly unusual in Toronto, and maybe having just recently come back from a Dominican Republic all-inclusive, perhaps my tolerances were higher. Or lower. LOL But I'd go back again. We were on the patio and it was lovely and it wouldn't kill me to have what felt like less alcohol for a while. (See above)

    We often choose Paupers to meet with friends. Food is good. Service is excellent. And it is not too noisy.

    It was nice to meet friends in the vault. Our server was great; she turned off the TV in the room, so we could talk and hear each other. The food + drinks were good; we had a good time at Paupers.

    My guests and I had a nice dinner at Paupers Pub. Our server, Eric, was very positive and energetic and made the experience enjoyable. Food was yummy too.
