   Hostess was extremely rude! At first said we did not have a reservation until my husband pointed it out on the list. Then said they only had a 4 person booth available when my reservation was for 5. Said they had no extra chairs available, even though half of the restaurant was empty and there was at least 10 open chairs. We ended up leaving without eating because of how rude the staff was. Will never go back!

   Food was mediocre. We made a reservation for four people and then called to try to make it for six people and they told us they were very busy and could not accommodate. When we got there, the place was empty, except for the four of us and one other table. Ridiculous. They lost out on our other two friends not being able to join us, and now the four of us will not return either.

   The problem started with the website which did not include the dining room menu, only the Sports Bar and carry out menu. The dining room menu did not include some items from the Bar menu and couldn’t be cross-ordered. We probably should have left the dining room and moved to the Bar. The next problem was that it took almost an hour to be served. Although the food was good, the overall experience was not. The hostess did everything she could to redeem the situation but in the summer I would not recommend Paul’s to a friend.

   Food, drinks, and service were very good, but it took a long time to get drinks and food because the bartenders and kitchen were swamped with the Father’s Day crowd. But everyone was patient , and one of the bartenders even came out to apologize for how long drinks were taking. Overall our party of six had a fun evening, a tasty dinner, and we were glad we had made a reservation.

   Food was fairly good. After being seated we waited for just shy of an hour before receiving our food. Our appetizer never came. Had to point this out as it was on our check. Several tables that came after we did actually received their foot prior to us getting ours. Hostess was extremely friendly and helpful. Our waitress was very slow and not apologetic of our excessive wait until we brought it to her attention. It was clear that all the attention was on the bar, not guests in the dining room. We will likely give them another chance, but not in the near future.

    They are trying to make an upscale side of Paul’s, not bad just needs some work. The bartender was great and our waitress was nice and attentive. The Halibut special was great, but the rest of the dinners were just okay.
