   This was an amazing place! For a date, it’s quiet enough for you to talk, but not so quiet that other people can hear your conversation. The place has a vibe that’s mature and sophisticated while being vibrant. The food was fresh and even on Valentine’s Day...was promptly served (within 15 mins). This is a definite must for anyone looking for a great atmosphere with reasonable prices.

   I do not regularly post negative things but open table asked for the review. Unfortunately the service was poor, the food was sub par, and the people were packed in like sardines. The server did not explain the menu at all. We ordered a bottle of wine and he brought it out he completely decimated the cork in front of us. Had to go get another bottle all together. Then finally he poured it and walked away, never offering a taste. Turns out, we were brought the wrong bottle. Not even a cab like we ordered. But after all that we drank it anyway. We were charged for food we didn't order. The server was awkward and didn't offer any kind words. The general manager did bring me a glass of cabernet near the end, which was nice. The restaurant, oddly enough, was brightly lit, the table was irritatingly small, and the ribeye was one of the worst cuts I've seen. We took it all in stride and didn't make a big deal of it. But we won't be back. Dining out is an experience and people will come back only when they enjoy all aspects of the meal.

   We tried Parker & Vine after seeing the article in the paper. They were clearly overwhelmed by the attention. The service was slow and unconcerned about the experience. A three-course menu at $33/person was the only option because of "Restaurant Week." Even with the limited menu, the service was incredibly slow and the food was not good. The tomato bisque was too thick, almost the consistency of tomato paste. The rib eye steaks for small and fatty, but at least they were hot. The scalloped potatoes were completely cold and hard. The side of asparagus was five tiny and skinny stalks that were completely charred but cold, so strange. We reviewed our concerns with our server and just received a rushed "sorry bout that." Don't like to see new restaurants fail, but management needs to take feedback to heart and fix the problems as soon as possible.

   We recently visited parker and vine at Californos for restaurant week and were very impressed. The restaurant has a new design and looks very fresh and modern. The service was a little slow but that actually worked out well because we were out for a nice dinner with friends and weren't in a hurry. The food quality was excellent although for a couple of us the entrees and appetizer came at the same time. Both owner brothers were very visible and individually came by our table to check on us. I would definitely try it again!

   We dined here on the last Friday of Restaurant Week, a chance to try a new restaurant. And this restaurant hasn't been open very long. The food we had was delicious. It was well prepared and beautifully presented. My companion had the tomato bisque, stir fry and creme brulee. All really good. I had the Prospect Salad, the crab struedel and the chocolate tart. All very good. Wine selection was ok and the decor is pretty. There was some nice music playing in the background and you could have a conversation with others at your table. Parking could be an adventure because most of it is on-street. But the service was pretty spotty. Slow to start, long wait for drinks, that sort of thing. The meal itself, once ordered, was well-paced and staff were friendly. Service issues can be ironed out and this restaurant hasn't been open that long. We'll give it another try because it deserves it.

    Very dissapointed in the service. We had 5 people at our table and food was brought out a different times. Some had their food early on, others much later. Food was okay, but service was unsatisfactory.
