   First time at Paloma. Will be back whenever we’re in town. It was simply outstanding with a very comfortable setting. Outdoor patio is terrific.

   The only good item in my meal was the sushi appetizer. Two of us ordered the grilled sea bass. It was so tough that we had to cut with a knife. The rice was dry and tasteless. The Paloma was flavored water . My reservation was for 4 and they put 3 of us at a table for 2 . Won’t be going back anytime soon .

   What a horrible experience. I had heard great things, so I booked Paloma for my husband’s birthday dinner, which I made a note of when making the reservation several weeks in advance - I noted that we hoped for a nice table indoors. First off, we waited 40 minutes to be sat as they did not have a table for us. The hostess was certainly frazzled. She said our table wasn’t quite ready yet and then continuously told servers that she desperately needed a 2-top. When one finally opened, it was of course right next to the bathroom. In their haste to turn the table, the floor and bench were still covered in food to the degree that a child must have eaten there before us. Our waitress was anything but kind - we felt like we were a huge bother to her - and it just continuously went downhill. There was no acknowledgement that we waited 40 minutes for our reservation - hey, I work in the service industry… this is when you offer a round of drinks (especially when you’re aware that we’re celebrating)! When we received our drinks, my glass was broken which I didn’t notice under the salt rim and I cut my lip. All of the food was bland but the steak fajitas were the worst; well-done and under seasoned. I ordered a different second drink which was so tart that I couldn’t stomach it. There was no acknowledgement from anyone that we didn’t eat our food or finish our drinks. We skipped dessert because we figured we didn’t want to know what terrible thing was going to happen next. I of course expected to pay for all of our uneaten food, but I also paid for the drink that came in the broken glass. I would never eat here again for any occasion, but for a birthday celebration that was planned well in advance, this was just the biggest disappointment.

   The margaritas was great, guacamole and chips superb, but the highlight of the night was the fish tacos which were outstanding. It’s a small space with a very cool vibe. I highly recommend.

    The food was really tasty for all members of our large party. The ambience was festive, although the music was a little loud. The servers were kind and attentive although understaffed.
