We had our reservations ready and arrived ~10 minutes early. Finding no parking, I walked in to claim our reservation while my wife parked the car. Minutes past and she returned noting that she found a reserved spot for McD's. Not wanting a tow I moved the car and due to a hockey game couldn't find a spot. We had to leave. Food looked and smelled great, the staff was friendly if over worked. Forgettable ambiance. Probably not the best for a more intimate date but perfect for anything else. I want to come back when its not a major holiday AND a hockey night. Our bad for not planning, but I figure a warning will help others. Gave 3's in food cat since I can't say either way. Smelled good.

I had heard Pagoda's Dim Sum was good and decided to try it one afternoon. Unfortunately, I was not impressed by their dim sum. The selection was limited and the food was mediocre. It is acceptable for people who want the typical American Chinese flavored food aka deep fried foods and dumplings, but if you're looking for an authentic taste for Cantonese Dim Sum I would not recommend Pagoda. The vibe of the restaurant wasn't bad though. The restaurant noise level wasn't too loud and I felt comfortable during my dining experience.

We had a great meal including excellent special items like sticky rice in lotus leaf, broccoli rabe, and beef crystal noodle as well as selections from the three different carts. They also offer congee with various toppings during dim sum.

The restaurant ambiance and service were spectacular but the food was just ok. The dinner prices are very inexpensive for not a lot of food choices. For similar pricing, I'd go to Fogo de Chau where they have twice as much variety and choice in food items.

We were happy to find an Asian restaurant open on Christmas Day. The food was very good, but there were some problems. The waiter was couteous, but not very knowledgeable about the food. He didn't know what vegetables were in the vegetable egg rolls, which were actually very good. There was a holiday party in the adjoining party room that included Chinese karaoke. The singers were very enthusiastic and loud and did not sing well. It was so loud that at times we could not hear each other talk, which detracted from an otherwise fairly good meal.

Regardless of what region of China you want to sample, there is something at Pagoda for everyone. My wife and I split a dish of Shrimp and Lobster Sauce which was OK, but our highlight was a steaming hot caldron of Sichuan Broth Hot Pot with beef, pea tips, chinese broccoli, and tofu. This is a dish we thought we would never have again when we had it in Guilin back in China on vacation, but low and behold Pagoda came through with a winner in this menu option. The option for the hot pot buffet is similar to other Korean barbecue restaurants out on the coasts, where they bring you fresh plates of ingredients to cook on your table top until you say stop. Their menu has other very authentic items, a far cry from your suburban chinese joint

I love this place! Moderate prices, great food, good wines, friendly wait staff. Lots of menu items to choose from. Wait staff great about making recommendations based on your preferences. Located in the bustling U of M Dinky Town atmosphere. Great choice! Thanks,

Their menu is very diverse and they know how to make each dish taste the way it should. You can't go wrong with any of the dishes that you order. Go with a bigger group to taste more dishes family style. The wait staff are the friendliest around.
