   Aw Come on. Other than the guacamole and chips and the bowl of shrimp this was a disappointing meal. The solo taco was beyond small plate. Barely 3 bites and by the time it came the tortilla fell apart. Our server was poorly trained and multiple servers passed by our table and left dirty plates. We had to ask multiple times for just about everything. Our first dish came even before our drinks. The 5 workers holding court at the host stand seemed strange. We requested a quiet table at 5 pm in an empty room and the hosts kept seating guests right next to us even though there were so many open tables elsewhere. Spent $100 and left still hungry after ordering 5 dishes. The Jose Andres group needs to focus on the customer experience and the details of running a restaurant.

   Really delicious food, where even the small plates are pretty big. The margaritas were top as well

   This is the best Mexican food I have had on the East Coast - actually, this is the best Mexican food I have ever had. Always come to Oyamel when in DC!

   I was very disappointed with the hosting staff when I experienced a problem finding my phone. They were rude and behaved as if they couldn’t care less. Their behavior annoyed me me and they used my annoyance as a reason to justify and continue their contemptuous attitude. They eventually informed me that my phone was in their possession and I retrieved it and I had to deal with their bad attitude once again. With the prices they now charge, service is of the utmost important and their attitude will ensure that I will not return.

   I make a point of coming here every time I visit DC. The food and service are exceptional, the vibe is cool, and the menu always has something new and fun to try out.

   Food and drinks were excellent, as always. Delicious rose petal margaritas, queso fundido, grilled octopus, carnitas and fish tacos- all fantastic. But our server could not have been less interested in us, and the service was really slow — both are so atypical for a Jose Andres restaurant.

   Amazing food! They really pushed the culinary boundaries. It was so hard to pick just one thing to order. A must when in DC.
