Since 2009 when we opened our first slice shop on Congress Street in downtown Portland, we’ve been striving to elevate the pizza experience. It starts with the ingredients – high quality, local when possible – and the toppings – creative and comforting. Mashed potatoes? Tortellini? Cranberries on a pizza? These are just a few of the things we tried – and they worked. “The Masher” with mashed potato, scallion, and bacon is one of our most popular pies. And people thought it was weird when we first put it on the menu.
Making simple food isn’t easy. We are continuously working to make sure every pizza is perfect and every slice unforgettable. Whether it be from one of our slice counters, or in one of our full service dining rooms, every member of our team is motivated by this goal of consistently well-executed, uncomplicated food.

Menu sounded interesting -- but our Greek salad was so so. The pizza was overcooked and not flavorful. In short disappointing for pizza place --- perhaps an off day?

Otto’s serves superlative pizza. Service always great, especially at Cottage Road. The young lady there Thursday night was so helpful when I realised I had booked the wrong Otto’s. Sorry! Everyone I have try Otto’s when they come to visit rave about how good the pizza is. My personal favourite is the arugula, onion and olive pizza. Kids love all the pizzas, even the one with potato, which I don’t get but they say it’s delicious.

We made reservations before we went to a concert in town Portland. We arrived on time and were seated promptly. The server came over with warm tap water. She asked if we wanted drinks and she couldn't tell us what they had for beer. She proceeded to go ask the bartender who gave her a list. We didn't care for their choices , so we opted for iced tea and soda. We didn't receive our drinks until after we got our pizza When we ordered our pizza, it was approximately 30 minutes before we got them. One at a time , we received them with about 4-6 minutes in between pizzas(3) The server NEVER came back to our table. We had to stand up and ask for the check Then, we asked to take our pizza with us, she picked it up and put it on a paper plate and before we left the pizza was soaked through the plate, in the trash that went.
