   What a great find. We were greeted with a warm welcome and the service was friendly and impeccable. I have a multitude of dietary requirements and they accommodated them perfectly. Cannot recommend them highly enough.

   We reccived top class service with top class food,the staff are very polite and friendly,the atmosphere is very relaxing and we werent rushed at all,the food was very well presented and complimants to the chef,we will definatly using Astley Bank again.

   We visited Othello's restaurant on Valentines Day evening; it was very busy, the clientele being mainly couples of a certain age. There were plenty of young, polite and professional staff who were attentive without being intrusive. The menu was unusual , I felt, for a Valentines meal We both chose king scallops, fillet steak (both at a supplement). We received a large amuse bouche that was very tasty prior to the starter and a lovely champagne sorbet in between the starter and main course. We waited some 30 minutes for our main course and then asked a waitress if we had been overlooked; she was quick to apologise and explore the issue and our meal followed. The steak was of good quality and the portion was more than adequate. We chose different desserts- a cheesecake and a tangerine parfait and both were declared delicious. We felt that the cost of the meal reflected the quality of the meal, service and venue and we'll look forward to returning to try either the Table d'hote menu or the Al la Carte menu

   First class on every level. The hospitality, service, food and decor was spot on. A thoroughly enjoyable evening. As it was midweek, the restaurant was fairly quiet, however, every member of staff we encountered was polite and attentive and nothing was too much trouble. I hope everything is to the same high standard at weekends and busier times. I always think that it's the little details that can really make a meal or outing feel special and Astley Bank and Othello' s seem to have these aspects embedded.

   Booked for an early Christmas Dinber with my parents. The service was amazing from the moment we stepped through the door. The staff were very attentive and nothing was too much bother. I will be recommending this lovely restaurant to everyone and it won't be my last visit! I may have found my new favourite place!

   An excellent meal. The staff are very helpful and knowledgeable. The only problem we had was when the barman was asked if he had any Angostura Bitters to add to a tonic and lime. His reply was that he only had one draught bitter and would that one be okay!! Astley Hall is above average for both quality and therefore price. One would think that the bar choice would similarly be above average. Other than that a very enjoyable evening.
