   We really enjoyed dining at Oscar’s. Our server was friendly, knowledgeable, and attentive. The food is amazing — Cuban fare (which is rare to find in Palm Springs). We started our dinner with a choice from the bar’s refreshing Mojito menu; then onto the appetizer—tasty Cubano Sliders; my dinner entree was the so-delicious Cuban shredded pork shoulder, only to be topped by my dessert choice—incredible Cuban bread pudding. Chef Jon visited our table to welcome us to Oscar’s and ensure that we’re enjoining our dinner. Wow!! I can’t recall a more satisfying dining experience. I highly recommend Oscar’s.

   Oscars is no longer serving regular meals as Restaurant and is now just an event place. We had reservations via Open Table for months and never heard that. The day of the reservation, i decided to check the menu online and discovered that 1- they were basically closed due to renovation, 2- they were no longer a conventional restaurant, and 3- they did not affiliate with Open Table anymore, so did not know they still had lots of reservations on the books. Due to that, I was unable to cancel on Open Table bc it had no way of canceling when the restaurant stops using them. This made me unable to schedule a new reservation bc the system would think i was trying to double book. It was a mess. The most irritating part is no one ever called their booked resos to let them know, so if I had not checked myself, we would have shown up with 7 people and not had a place to go. I should note the person I spoke to at Oscars was very nice and provided recommendations to another place. I just think there should be a plan for when things like this happen. Either Open Table cancels the reservation and notifies the patrons or the restaurant does.

   Damn place was closed for construction. BS that website and Opentable not only allowed reservations, had us confirm and receive confirmation only to Uber to a closed restaurant. Zero stars for service

   Oscar's can be a fun place to drink. The entertainment was great. They had Bill Lohnes and he's a great singer/entertainer. Unfortunately, nobody was impressed with the food. I ordered the shrimp scampi pasta. The shrimp was the tiniest shrimp I had ever seen. Like bay shrimp, yet maybe even smaller. I think I had seven of them, which isn't much when 7 equal one normal sized shrimp. The pasta dish was fairly small overall, especially compared to other restaurants in the area. The restaurant was fairly empty too. Maybe others have noticed these things already. Hopefully, management will see reviews here and make improvements. We'd definitely still drink there, but will eat elsewhere before or after.

   Although we made reservations a month in advance, when we arrived at Oscar's they were closed for a private event, they were the next night too. When we called to ask what happened to our reservation, we were told that basically no reservation made through open table can be relied upon because "their systems don't talk to each other" Seems with our reservation being made so far in advance that, they could have given us a courtesy call to let us know they'd be closed. Instead, we walked around to multiple restaurants trying to find a place without an hour wait.

    This place showed as kid friendly! This was not kid or family appropriate. It was full of drag queens, Which is fine with all due respect. BUT KIDS don’t need to get introduced to situations like this at a very young age.

    Did you bring your child to our Bitchiest Brunch? IF not, you have no right to say anything about anyone else raising their child. We forewarn all parents there is adult humor and language. If you didn't bring your child, then you have nothing to worry about.
