This is a true gem of a restaurant. The food is amazing. Locally sourced fresh ingredients prepared by a master chef. The wine list is excellent and very reasonably priced. I have eaten here many times over the years and never been disappointed. My personal favorite is the fennel appetizer braised in chardonnay cream sauce. My friend had the lentil salad which she loved. Most recent visit we both had veal parm which was perfectly prepared. The setting is a charming old Florida style mansion, with ample parking in front and on the side street. If you have not yet eaten at Ortygia you cannot call yourself a true foodie.

We have been to Orytigia three times in a month. It is a well kept secret in the Art district of Bradenton. I found it by searching fine restaurants near me. We moved to Palmetto from Bay Hill in Orlando. We were very used to having quality restaurants to chose from. We have plenty of sea food near us but we were wanting Italian. The restaurant is in a small house in the art district of Bradenton so the ambiance is epic! The food is Sicilian not American Italian. However, the owner did say that on Thursdays chicken parmigiana is one of the offerings. The drink card had a variety of styles as well as prices. Orytigia has become one of our favorite places. We hope everyone else enjoys it as much as we do!

I have been to Ortygia about half a dozen times over the past few years. I have always enjoyed the food and ambiance. It is small and space is a bit cramped, but that adds to the environment. Excellent food and service, and usually live music on the weekends. I will be back soon!

Food was absolutely amazing and service fantastic. The owner was very friendly and genuinely made everyone feel at home. I live about an hour away but will be sure to return, it was that good!

Wasn’t impressed. I’m a local and I’ve read all the reviews for this restaurant thought I’d finally give it a try. For $16.50 I ordered the eggplant Parmesan, not worth the money. The pasta wasn’t fresh, boxed pasta you can buy in the grocery store BOGO. The eggplant wasn’t what I expected in the least bit, not breaded not fried, I’m guessing grilled. The pate was bland no flavor.
