   We turned up at our 5 pm booking. Totally shut up and closed. We had a reminder the day before from Orton’s.l regarding the booking. We tried to call between 5 and 6 and could not leave s message either. Came back here because we enjoyed the the fist time and I thoughtful this would be a good place for my husbands birthday. As you can imagine this ruined the night.

   Unfortunately when we went to our booking at Ortons Brasserie, a booking made for my birthday celebrations, the restaurant was closed. No warning, no email not even a note stuck to the door nothing. I’ve tried to get in contact with them since and nothing. I was so disappointed. Luckily the customer service at Wygston House was wonderful they managed to squeeze us in and I managed to have an amazing birthday meal!

   I booked this restaurant for a celebratory meal for my friends hen do however when we arrived there it wasn’t even open. I had no warning of this, we had travelled over an hour to go here and it was extremely disappointing. It looked as though it hadn’t been open for a long time, if this is the case then it should be taken off open table.

   WILL YOU PLEASE UPDATE YOUR SYSTEM......WE TURNIED UPFOR A MEAL BOOKED THROUGH YOU AND THE PLACE WAS CLOSED....VERY DISSAPOINTED....YOU LOT SHOULD BE SACKED FOR SUCH POOR PERFORMANCE...STOP SENDING ME EMAILS

   Atrocious - avoid. Despite booking well in advance, despite getting confirmation, despite getting a reminder the day before, we arrived for our booking, and, the placed was CLOSED - and it remained closed for the rest of the afternoon until we left the area. We didn't get any contact to say that they were closed and the booking was cancelled - disgusting. They managed to spoil a specially arranged occasion - totally unprofessional and unreliable.

   Booked a table online for dinner before a theatre show … received numerous emails reminding me of the booking… Arrive to find the restaurant closed and all the outside chairs chained up! Received no message to say cancelled etc … Goes to show what they think of their customers!

   The place was closed! No communication to let us know, no sign on the door- nothing. We had to find somewhere else. Not impressed

    Very disappointed. No point in me scoring the review really as I didn’t get to experience it! I booked a table for me and my family on the 8th June at 5pm for my birthday for food as it stated on the website it was open and serving food at that time. We arrived on time along with other people waiting outside to find it closed! I was VERY disappointed! I booked online and the booking was confirmed through open table, I also tried to call the restaurant prior to us arriving a few times before and no answer and it kept saying mail box is full! I really don’t understand why we was able to make a booking on the site for that specific time if the restaurant was not going to be open! I am still upset as I was looking forward to celebrating my birthday here and traveled from Manchester! So can someone please explain why this happened, why the restaurant was not open at the given time?!
