Orlando’s mission is to bring Caribbean cuisine to the world and to bring it the same recognition that French, Asian and Chinese already have globally. My aim is to do this by involving the local community, by collaborating with local farmers and fishermen, using only local produce and promoting the health benefits of fresh local ingredients. Located at the northern end of Soufrière, Orlando’s is in a beautiful courtyard garden setting where they serve ‘ Ti Manje‘,which means small plate of food in the local Kwéyòl language. Chef Orlando’s mission is simple: to make Caribbean cuisine as influential and flavorful as other internationally known cuisines by using only the freshest local fish, meat and produce to create his masterpieces. There is also a small, but very carefully chosen wine list that pairs well with the cuisine and enhances the dining experience. The Orlando’s culinary experience is definitely something that shouldn’t be missed.

    Great , it beat all of my expectations and more . The chef / owner of the establishment really gave us a great feel overall ! Would recommend to anyone who are looking for great food in St Lucia!

    Food was good. Do not expect fine dining, but was tasty and reasonable portion sizes. Orlando himself an absolute Gentleman. Constructive criticism being lighting could be better , I like to see what I can eat. Would like my wine to come immediately not in time for the third course. Waiter was charming and made you feel welcomed. Liked to chat and had a smile on his face. Waitress had an attitude problem

    Orlando's was excellent! There were 2 menu choices so my husband and I got one of each and shared. All 5 courses from each menu were delicious and perfectly portioned. We had enough room for dessert but left feeling full. If you're not a picky eater and want to try a variety of foods, do not miss this spot!

    First reservations made got to restaurant was closed upon arrival. Second reservation made by hotel and was ok. Felt rushed and yet slow service.

    We had a fabulous time at Orlando’s. The food was delicious and the the staff was incredibly friendly and attentive. The bar tender, Chris, shared some experimental drinks with us. We even helped with the name: Elegant Taj. It’s clear that Orlando and all of the people working there are passionate about making a great meal and wonderful experience.

    We were a party of 4 - we took a taxi from the Sugar Beach resort. The ride was about 15 minutes. Orlando's is in the town of Soufriere. We were welcomed at the door and seated right away. Orlando the Owner/Chef welcomed each table of guests. The menu is fixed priced tasting menus, there were 2. Between two couples we got one of each so we could try everything. The food was fantastic- truly reflective of island produce and spices. From the appetizer through the dessert we all loved the food. Standouts were: mango shrimp, coconut risotto, local King Fish, carrot/pumpkin soup -- what a treat. The most beautiful, delicious and creative as well as the best value dinner we had on the island. Staff was very professional and attentive and the wine list was carefully selected to compliment the dishes. We will return!

    Positives - the amuse Boucher and welcome drink were nice, unexpected and tasty. Waitresses were friendly. Unfortunately there were significantly more negatives though - the service was very slow, the menu was limited to two set menus and the kitchen was out of several items. We had one of each, one slightly more expensive than the other and the more expensive one should have been steak but was replaced with the same main as the other menu but using chicken - the mains were drenched in a chocolate sauce which didn't go, it was cold and the okra juice curdled with the chocolate...it was awful. The cocktail list was extensive but with no prices, we were informed the prices were between $8-16..... big range. After leaving half the main and commenting to the waitress that there was too much chocolate the sui chef came out to discuss it with us which was embarrassing for everyone. We understand ​that Orlando himself wasn't there that evening so maybe we were just unlucky. They gave us a book to write up our experience which we could bring ourselves to do. Lastly, this was super expensive (and we're used to London prices!) we were unsatisfied and out of pocket.
