One Twenty Six is a classic French American bistro in the heart of Iowa City and has been an Iowa City tradition for over 16 years. Located in lively and bustling downtown, you can enjoy great food and then a concert, show or the local vibe. Our goal is to provide you with a truly special dining experience. We work with local purveyors to bring you fresh, local and organic food when possible. Our New American cuisine is created daily by our talented kitchen staff. The food is strongly influenced by traditional French delicacies. Everything is made in house, starting from the stocks that serve as base to our special sauces and reductions. We don’t believe in cutting corners when it comes to good food.

    Food was excellent and interesting. I had the Pork Vindaloo and loved it. Service was also exceptional.

    We were the only table in the restaurant the manager didn’t check on. The food was average for the price. Service was delayed and glasses were not kept full. If you’re looking for a nice place to eat in Iowa City, you can do better than this one.

    Took forever to get waited on. When Dinner Arrived one order was completely wrong, charged for drinks that were never Ordered, Meal just was not a good quality for the price that was Paid. First tome to location, may not return for second opportunity.

    Fabulous meal and evening. The service was a little slow but only because of the employee shortages we see universally. This is quickly solidifying the position of our favorite restaurant in the Corridor.

    Really good food, awesome menu, superb location and ambiance. Don't miss eating here in Iowa City! (The salmon was to die for.)
