Intimate 8 seat Omakase restaurant in Chicago’s west loop serving traditional Edomae style sushi. Fixed chef 15 - 17 course menu focusing primarily on sushi and seafood which will change depending on the availability of the best product for the season. Diners will be served personally by Chef Sangtae himself at the sushi counter bar seating.

Restaurant currently offering Sake, Wine, and Beer.

IMPORTANT:
If you would like to make a cancellation for any reason, Please do so through our email (info@omakaseyume.com) or OpenTable as we are not able to answer phone calls during Sundays or service days before 4pm. But must be made 48 hours before the reservation time.
If a cancelation occurs within the 48-hour period or there is a late/no shows, will be a fee of $125/person applied on the card.

The best culinary experience we had so far in Chicago. There are only 8 seats and you have the chance to see and enjoy the Chef preparing the different items in front of you!

Amazing! Chef Sangtae Park created an amazing 13 course tasting. Well crafted and well displayed. If you want to try rare fish this is the place to go. My wife and I will surely return! -Shashi and Justine

Absolutely amazing. The entire experience transported me back to my time in Tokyo, enjoying some of the best sushi I’ve had in my life;from the quality of the food, the chef’s superb craftsmanship of your meal, to presentation/service and the fact that this is a family run small restaurant is something to marvel at and also make you sad you have to go home at the end of your time at Omakase.

Overall, just "meh". Every course/piece was OK, but none were great or memorable. When we walked out, I could not recall a single piece that I wanted to tell anyone about it and none of the pieces elicited "wow". I would not return under any circumstances.

Yume is good, but not great. I liked the very Japanese small sushi bar omakase experience but the price is exorbitant and the food is good but uninspired. I can think of a handful of sushi restaurants off the top of my head - most within walking distance of this one - that offer better sushi and better value. We both love sushi and eat a lot of it, but Yume is a place we've crossed off our list.
