   We dined here for our anniversary and my husband wanted to surprise me with dinner at Old Hickory Steakhouse for months. We are locals and enjoy delicious food and love to enjoy our experiences. We were greeted by very friendly staff. Our waitress was professional and very nice. The Food was delicious. It is highly priced for the portions you get but that’s what you get if you fine dine especially at Gaylord. Overall we’d come back and I recommend visiting atleast once, if you are okay with spending for a special occasion. Only setback was we ordered a specific wine and they charged us for a more expensive bottle. We noticed a $45 difference due to a more expensive bottle we had not ordered. It was brought to our attention after we had already paid that there was a new wine they added with the same name and the waitress was not aware of it. I appreciate the manager and the waitress being honest about it but it Would’ve been a better experience if they offered something or removed. Atleast discount for the difference we were over charged. Instead we got an “I’m sorry” and that it was their mistake. We paid for it anyway because we didn’t want to complain or make it a big deal. We have dined in many high end quality restaurants. If there is ever a mistake, they immediately make it right. This was not the case at Hickory, unfortunately. We will be back, but we’ll be sure to double check everything before we consume or pay for it. 😅

   I’ve been to many very nice steakhouses, but Old Hickory is a notch above. Debbie was our server and she was awesome!

   This was quite a remarkable experience. From the initial interaction with the hostess Camille, she was super friendly, warm and helpful. Our servers, Zeke and Brian were phenomenal, engaging in fun conversation, making great recommendations. The manager David was super friendly, very knowledgeable about wine. The food was exceptional, oysters, sea bass and Delmonico Ribeye along with the roasted mushrooms. Besides a fantastic meal, the people took it to another level. We will come back for sure!

   Our waitress Sylvia was fantastic. Added so much to the meal with her recommendations and knowledge of the menu. Such a delightful personality and bent over backwards to make sure we had a great experience! Steaks were seasoned and cooked perfectly. Veggies, corn, and potatoes were all excellent and good sized portions. Unfortunately had no room for dessert 😩. Will be back soon.

   I’ve been to way better places, Like Meehan’s Chop House in Mansfield. The waitress and waiters are nice, unlike GayLords, food, (my teen ate everything) I had them bag mine up , and took it home and put flavor on it , and cook pastas complete, then ate the whole meal. So I say… Look Up Meehan’s , Every Seat, makes you feel like Royalty, and treated that way also! And the food is Amazing, Great Taste, and as TRUMP would say BEAUTIFUL ! Janet Garza

   This isn't our first rodeo with at Old Hickory Streakhouse. However, this time it was worth writing about. From the beginning to the end. Absolutely Perfect!
