   $50 per person is a bit high for brunch like this. No hot tea.

   Unfortunately I think they really missed the mark for Mother’s Day brunch. We arrived promptly at 10 am for our reservation and they would not let us inside because they weren’t ready. It was about 45 degrees outside and rainy. So we waited 5-10 minutes and they allowed us to go inside. It was very cold inside (so cold that my daughters nose turned red and we were all uncomfortable in long pants, long sleeves, and coats). I realize the weather wasn’t pleasant but it was forecasted to be cold and rainy well in advance, so I would think they could’ve provided heaters or some sort of warmth. My mimosa was served to me in a regular juice glass and I’m unsure there was any champagne in it. It definitely did not have the “rock candy swirl stick” as described on the menu. So I paid $10 for juice. The food was awful. Not seasoned at all and cold. The “prime rib” was cut as if it were roast beef. Shavings of meat. No salt. I’m appalled that guests well allowed to serve themselves at the buffet considering we are still well within a global pandemic. Some of the younger servers seemed confused and were running every which way, almost crashing into me each time I went up to the buffet. I will say that our server was very friendly. At around $50 per person I expected much better. I left there utterly disappointed, frozen, and hungry.

   Food was outstanding as was the service!!! The Old Barn Inn's atmosphere is fantastic!!!
