Unfortunately the restaurant is closing for good this weekend. It's a shame, because it is excellent.

Great meal. Our server David and Bartender were especially great. My party loved the special salads , the steaks and I always go for the fried chicken.

Lots of changes have taken place at Oak and Ember. It seems as the portions on the plates have decreased. They made changes to the steak sauce menu as well, removing two of the best sauces.! (Please bring back the blue cheese sauce!!) The side of mac and cheese that used to be gooey and delicious lacked the main ingredient, cheese. We used to crave Oak and Ember, as they have the best filet around. However after all these recent changes we will skip a visit or two in hopes they will improve a bit.

We had an outstanding dinner. The menu was creative with many options that one doesn't see that your typical Cape Cod restaurant. My doc was prepared perfectly with an outstanding choice of creative appetizers.

Once again, we had a great meal and a great time at Oak & Ember. The staff are service oriented and knowledgeable. The food is presented beautifully and is delicious and interesting. The bar makes a very good drink. We always enjoy our time at Oak & Ember. It's worth many visits.

I have visited OAE for the past four years for my birthday. The only year that I did not go is when they went Mexican. The first year I went was phenomenal. I even got a recipe from the chef in exchange for a review. Last year was phenomenal. The choices were different but they still had an excellent prix fixe menu. We went back an additional night and bought three dinners and a peach and berry crumble because the food was so good. Today I am appalled that I spent 137.00 for our dinners. The bitter for the bread has changed and lacked taste. The serving portions were very small for the money. Four sea scallops, 12 green beans and a 1/3 cup of mashed potatoes was sparse for 28 dollars. My daughters 25 dollar steak was supposed to be medium rare and it was cooked to medium well. The steak was very small so I did not notice it was over cooked Until we were at home looking in the cardboard take home containers we were given. How tacky? I was angry that I paid for the steak as I did not know it was not cooked correctly until I got home. The fried chicken lacked seasoning but was not dry which was great. I ordered a side of Mac and cheese that seemed old. I also ordered a negroni that was garnished with a lemon wedge instead an orange peel. That's a big deal for a whiskey bar. I was honest with the waiter and manager who were more interested in me mispronouncing prix fixe. The manager really needs some work in the area of customer service. His position and the chef could bring down the whole establishment. Just sad...I don't mind paying a lot for the food if it is awesome. The menu has dwindled along with the choices. The meat selections that were awesome have been replaced with burgers. Burgers and whiskey, really? This used to be the highlight of our stay but it has come to an end.

Two of us had burgers. Way too much pepper on the burgers. One of us had the caesar salad with steak tips. The olive tapenade was OVER-powering and the steak tips were large pieces of steak. Overall, good possibilities but needs some thought, refinement and better execution.

Outstanding food and service. If you love steak, recommend the porterhouse for two. Large size portion and excellent value. New chef from Napa is making a difference at this location.
