   Nowon just opened recently which I know means there’s always kinks to work out when it comes to service but this was an exceptionally green team - it felt like it was the full wait staffs first time working in a restaurant. The 5/7 course menus do not need to be coursed 1 dish at a time. 1 server hovered over us as we finished one of our dishes to take our plate after I told her we weren’t finished yet, we needed fresh plates at some point along a 5 course meal, and needed more check ins throughout the meal rather than having to flag someone down for another drink. That being said the food was great - highly recommend the chopped cheese rice cakes.

   Excellent food. Pretty fast service. They had a lot of front of house (non-servers) support clearing and serving. Will definitely go back for the smash burger!

   Drinks took way to long to arrive. Server may have forgotten to put order in, as our drinks arrived after another party who was seated much later. Very cramped environment amplified by deafening music

   Food is just mediocre for the high pricing they do. The seat layout is a bit crowded, you can’t even move & go to the toilet without hitting the person next to you. This place is overrated. It’s not that terrible but not reasonable for few hundreds you’d pay for.

   Our meal was excellent. We tried the EP who CB gave us the option to taste many items. Service is quick and efficient. The two drawbacks is the noise level and how close tables are to others. We decided to eat our meal in silence instead of trying to scream at each other.

   The food was really good. However the volume and the tables being so close to one another seems a bit over the top. The music was very loud which was difficult to hear my friend across the table + we were so close to other people where they could hear us and we could hear them

   Nowon is a standout addition to the Seaport dining scene. The "Mixtapes" tasting option is a fun, shareable way to try most of the menu—everything was delicious except the underwhelming tater tots (although they were super crispy). Cocktails are excellent, though on the smaller side. The biggest drawback is the tight, communal seating, which doesn’t suit private conversations. Great for food lovers and friends, less ideal for a first date night.

   The host and hostess were not very welcoming or friendly, but I know the restaurant just opened, so maybe they were overwhelmed. The food was good, but came out in a weird order. The tots and burger came out first, and the starter we ordered came out last. I’m not sure if there is a reason for this or if we should have specified an order? It didn’t matter much to us, but it was a little odd and would probably be good to let diners know this is the case when they put in their order. We ordered the shrimp mandu, general lee’s chicken, kimchi fried rice, legendary burger, extraordinary tots, and the chopped cheese rice cakes. The best items were the legendary burger and the fried rice, though everything was well executed. We also ordered mocktails (Korean born star and respect your elders), which were very good. Our server, Martini, was excellent and a bright spot in our meal. He was attentive without being overbearing. He was also happy to accommodate us when we requested to be moved to the end of the row of tables (originally the host told us no because there was a reservation there, which made no sense because we were also a reservation? The tables were never fully occupied while we were there, so I’m not sure if there was a miscommunication). Which brings me into my main takeaway: Although the food was good and well executed, the experience suffers from the ambience (or lack thereof). The tables of 2 truly could not be closer together; they are an inch apart. It feels like you’re dining with the people next to you, which is why we had asked if we could move to the end of the row. The music is very loud and you have to yell to hear each other across the table or communicate with your server. I definitely would not take a date here, as it is far too loud to have a conversation. Maybe it would be good for a friend group? Ultimately, I think the food is overshadowed by the loud and claustrophobic atmosphere, which is unfortunate.

    All the food was phenomenal! We enjoyed every dish and would highly recommend. Great ambiance, super reasonable prices, everything was fresh and hot, would 10000% recommend!
