At Nori Bar, we make a darn good sushi handroll and are proud to say so. Our handrolls meet at the intersection of the freshest seafood from Hawaii and Tokyo, fluffy Koshihikari rice, and hella crisp nori. This isn’t your grandpa’s traditional sushi restaurant, but that doesn’t mean he won’t like it, too.


We built this restaurant to offer a high-quality sushi experience to a wider audience. So come in, kick back, and roll with us.

    Looks pricey but the quality makes it worth it. I like the Japanese bar style concept. Menu is small but just right to control the quality. Everything tasted great along with lightly dipping the shoyu and wasabi.

    Quality of the fish is solid. Really good. The problem is for the prices they are charging, why are they slicing everything paper thin? Have to order twice as much to be satisfied. $120 for one person, and being forced to order off a digital menu doesn’t resonate with what should be a high touch experience. Sad to say, but were it not for Chris’s colorful character working on the weekends, this place has zero local appeal and is just another yuppie trendy overpriced opportunistic Kakaako eatery.

    Order by QR code is really convenient. The quality of fish is superb! The service is outstanding. I love this place! My favorites are the Maguro Avocado Roll, and toro and otoro nigiri. The wagyu is also super delicious.

    I enjoyed lunch at Nori Bar and will return. Not a fan of the seating (all at the bar) but understand that's most efficient for the chef. Will return as the food is good!

    Nori Bar is one my favorite spots in Honolulu. The hand rolls are just amazing as well as sushi. Fish is very fresh and the nori just melts in your mouth. I go there as often as I can. Highly recommended.

    Great food. Intimate experience. The menu has been expanded and has better variety now. Service was a bit slower with only one sushi chef for a full bar.
