   Nobu was a wonderful dining experience. The presentation, the food and ambiance were the best I've ever experienced. I had a seat at the sushi bar and it was a great experience seeing the chef preparing and presenting my platter. The food from the Black cod miso to the sushi platter and soki was fresh and delicious. This restaurant is a must try for locals and visitors alike.

   If you want to spend $1,000 to not be allowed to order what you want to eat , this is your go to place. Arrived with some friends excited to support a new restaurant on Maui. Tried to order a light refreshing Gin cocktail, and was told not allowed to because it was similar to one of their "custom drinks". Ended up talking to a manager, who tried to convince me to have something I didn't care for, and finally, after 40 mins, I had my cocktail. The appetizers are tiny and start at $40. The entrees are also tiny and run $65 - $105. Inquired what the fresh line caught fish was and told it was Eku or Onaga. Onaga is my favorite fish so I got excited to order that, but then the waitress said we were not allowed to order it, as they were only serving the Eku first, then when they run out they will serve the Onaga. Its pretty infuriating to drive 45 mins to the other side of the island, to spend this kind of money, and not be able to order what you like to eat. Why even tell us they have onaga if they refuse to serve it. Our waitress was non existent and we finish our 5:30 dinner at 9:30pm. Overall, the food we were allowed to order was actually very good, but paired with the attitude, tiny portions (requiring us to order many dishes each to feel full), high cost and rude service I do not recommend it. Have eaten at Nobu restaurants around the world and this is the only one that has been such a terrible experience, and this was easily the worst dining experience on Maui, ever, and I live here full time.

   Wow! Welcome to Wailea Nobu. What a great addition to the other amazing dining opportunities on the south side of Maui. Signature dishes we have loved for years at other mainland Nobu restaurants. Our server Nick was excellent. His support staff (server assistants) were a bit slow on things like water delivery but we can give a pass due to the recent opening and working things out. The food, ambience, and views are 5 star. Highly recommended. Hotel Wailea, Spago, Nick's Fishmarket , Ferraro's, DUO, KO, Morimoto at Andaz, now have a new additional fine dining companion.

   Mannnnnnnn this place went above and beyond. Seth out waiter took care of my family (me, wife, 5yr, 2yr). Wagyu is top tier

   Food was delicious! Drink service was very slow. We went to dinner at 5:30 and the sun was brutal. No way to really shield yourself — it was hot. Good thing a cloud came through to block the sun for a bit.

   The service was impeccable, the presentation was beautiful, every bite was a delicious. Started with pina martini and lychee martinis. Sweet. We tried a few cold items jalapeno yellowtail and the salmon. Both were so good. Then wagyu tacos, battered shrimp and dumplings. Had a couple sushi rolls (yellowtail jalapeno was best) and finished off with bento box and date cake. Date cake was by date the best surprisingly. Very expensive but you have to try it. Glad we had the experience.

   My partner and I have visited many Nobu locations around the world, so we were excited to try this one—but unfortunately, it didn’t meet our expectations. As always, the food was outstanding, especially the yellowtail jalapeño sashimi and caviar taro, both of which were delicious and lived up to the high standards we’ve come to expect from Nobu. The quality was as fresh as ever, but unfortunately, everything else fell short. Finding the restaurant was a challenge; we ended up wandering around the property for about 15 minutes before we finally located it. We arrived late to our reservation, ordered our drinks and appetizers right away, and then our sushi rolls. To our surprise, we waited an unreasonably long time for the food, and when it finally arrived, the sushi rolls came first, followed by the drinks, and then the appetizers. The whole experience felt disorganized, which was frustrating and unexpected. Given the issues we encountered, I’d recommend waiting a few months before visiting this location—hopefully, they’ll have their processes figured out by then and will be able to deliver the seamless experience that other Nobu locations are known for.
