   Our server (Kevan?) was perfect for us. He got our food in right away (as we were super hungry) and provided a great experience. He was personable and genuine. Thanks for the excellent dining experience!

   I really enjoyed the gnocco frito and the 100-layer lasagna: both dishes had wonderful flavours and were made with quality Italian ingredients. The opera cake I had for dessert was quite salty, and the texture of the buttercream was a bit too buttery for my liking.

   I visited the restaurant to celebrate my daughter’s birthday. When they asked about allergies, I informed them that my daughter has a nut allergy, but when the food was served, they did not double-check, nor did they provide any explanation about the dishes. Our server was unfriendly, and even though we mentioned it was our first visit, she didn’t ask about the steak’s doneness. After placing the order, I tried to mention how we would like the steak cooked, but she said we couldn’t choose the doneness. Later, I found out that it was written very small at the bottom of the menu. Also, although I had mentioned during the reservation that it was my daughter’s birthday, no one acknowledged it. The food was average, but the service was terrible.

   One of my fav spots for a business lunch downtown. Food is exceptional, service is always hospitable. It's always a great vibe.

   The pizza was amazing as were the meatballs. The tuna and beet salad was just ok. Service was ok but nothing outstanding. The wine list options were really great and we loved the space.

   The worst anniversary dinner we've ever had. Nightingale was where we had our first date, those first years of dating, 2 young professionals, we were here almost every weekend; your Hanger Steak with Gorgonzola was our favourite (though we could hardly afford it back then, we couldn't resist ordering it none the less). Since then we got married, travelled a bit, moved out of the city to the suburbs & this year it was our 9 year anniversary of that first date. So we thought it would be a nice walk down memory lane to revisit a place that meant so much to us. What we found was a restaurant experience far from what we remembered. We could not have been more disappointed. What started off with a kind greeting from the hostess (we were sat in the same seat we had a picture from 9 years ago) & an attentiveness from our first server, descended into feeling like an unwanted seat-fillers by the server he was replaced with who was also training a new hiree. During dinner Nightingale hosted either a large group of vloggers or youtubers with 3 large film cameras & lighting apparatuses, not sequestered into their own private area but in the middle of the main dining room & it felt like all attention from much of the service staff was focused on them & unlike the multiple courses that were ordered with our first server which were prepared at great pace, all of a sudden took 35+ minutes each for the remaining courses ordered. The new server knew it was our anniversary & yet when it came for dessert, I wasn't even offered a dessert menu to order from or a complimentary congrats dessert by the restaurant. To watch another couple in the middle of the dining room receive a comp dessert was just the cherry on top. A complimentary dessert is not a necessity but when you watch another couple in the middle of the same room receive one from their server & you've spent $ on 4+ courses it has an extra sting after choosing them for your 9 year anniversary.

    There was no effort from the staff to accommodate any special requests — not even small adjustments to the dishes. But what stands out the most is the attitude. It felt dismissive and inflexible, which really took away from the overall experience.
