Granite Stout is truly the people's choice. In January of 2014, the brewery conducted the "Stout Challenge", where for a month all visitors of the brewery sampled a selection of small batch stouts brewed in house. After multiple rounds and hundreds of votes were tallied, the winning recipe became Granite Stout, which is now available in 22 oz. bottles and on draft throughout New Hampshire. This IPA leans more toward the west coast style of IPA but still provides modern hop characters reminiscent to the juice bombs of New England. It is a draft only offering done in partnership with the New England Tap House. It pours a beautifully clear sunset orange/yellow with a dense white head. Hopped permanently with Mosaic, with some supporting help from Azacca and Centennial, you'll get aromas of grapefruit pith, mango and other tropical fruits, berry, pine, and resin. Its medium body is paired with a firm bitterness to keep the beer in balance. The Stone Farm to Can Series is our heartfelt tribute to the dedicated farmers who cultivate the hops that help bring our beers to life. Each beer in this series features hops grown at a single specific farm as our way of paying homage to their harvest. Many of these growers breed and develop their own varieties, like CLS Farms in Moxee, Washington did with El Dorado hops, named for the mythical hidden City of Gold. Moxee lies nestled in Yakima Valley, the very real paradise of hop production in the American Pacific Northwest.
