New Deck Tavern is an Irish pub and restaurant on historic Sansom Street in the University City area of Philadelphia. The original Deck which reopened in 1986 in its new location, held one of the only liquor licenses that dates back to the year Prohibition came to an end – 1933. New Deck Tavern captures all that was charming about the original Deck while adding modern touches such as karaoke and high definition televisions. Ireland may be about 3,000 miles away but it won’t feel it when you step into the New Deck Tavern.
