Nevin's Brewing Company opened its doors in December 2012. Like all breweries, we use grain to make our beer. But unlike other breweries, we do not simply discard our used or "spent" grain. Instead, we deliver our spent grain to local farmers to use as feed for livestock and compost to enrich the soil for vegetables. We then, in turn, purchase this well-fed livestock and nutrient-rich vegetables to make our steaks, burgers, salads, side dishes and so many other items on our menu. Our goal is not only to bring you the freshest, most flavorful food and beer possible, but also to aim as high as we can for true sustainability.

The food was delicious. Priced reasonably. Until you saw the portion size . Huge plates small servings. Our cats water bowl is larger then the side salad bowl.

I went to hear the band the kennedy compound play on friday night . the music was fantastic !!!.. the host greeted that greeted us was very friendly . the food was good.

This venue has unfortunately been on a downward slide. The music is really loud - which negates any kind of conversation and the menu could use a good overhaul to include some interesting/ healthier options. My biggest disappointment was the heat on the jambalaya - it was SO HOT that all you could taste was the heat. Really unfortunate as it's a really charming atmosphere and the service was very good.

Service was way too slow! Unfortunately there were not enough staff on duty for a planned event. Food came out cold. We were very dissatisfied overall.

Nevins was extremely Accomodating. I recently had knee surgery and really wanted to see the band the evening of St Patrick's Day ,and was worried that I would have to stand all night which would be very painful. I called and they allowed me to reserve a table and make sure that was ready when I arrived. I was very grateful that I was able to get out that night and grateful that they were able to accommodate my situation.

One server for 13 tables upstairs and in an hour and a half we received two Ice teas and one appetizer. Clearly someone didn’t show up that night, but no explanation or apology was made. People were just sitting at tables looking around and waiting for food to come out. We finally just left. Won’t be back.
