   The food and service were very good. My family and I really enjoyed the meal and the lovely setting.

   It's a lounge area not suitable for two person having lunch. Like the cool jazzy oldies vibe though but again not appropriate for lunch but for drinking and relaxing area.

   Very dissapointed in our visit. I had read a few negative reviews and some positive. I wanted to go because of the hotel decor and history. Poor Betty was run off her feet due to staff shortage and was out of her depth. 30min seated l had to ask to be served, food came before our drinks because she was swamped at the bar. One of our party ate the burger and was ill later that evening. I wouldn't recommend as a choice on a visit to Melbourne.

   This was possibly the worst burger I have ever eaten. Even worse, was that 4 bar staff didn’t once ask how our food was. Prior to paying, I explained why the meal was so terrible to the bar staff taking the payment. She didn’t understand what “gristle” meant, and I had to explain it. All she said before she took full payment was “oh. Sorry” with a confused look. The service and food was absolutely terrible. This was a shame as it’s a lovely venue.
