   Always the place i would host my friends and overseas visitors and they were blown away for its good quality food. Probably, one of the most underrated steak house. Despite being a steak house, Head chef Chris Bonello does his best to revamp its menu to best cater for his customers. Excellent for its seafood dishes too having wine n dined here every tuesday night for its PASTA NIGHT @$29 for 3 straight Tuesday which includes 1/2 crayfish n seafood with a glass of wine. So good for their PASTA night that one main was never enough, i also had their lamb shank gnocchi. 10/10. Today, i hosted my friend’s 60th birthday n his wife. It was also the first day of its all new menu. We had the 3 courses @$45 which used to include a glass of wine or beverage. i was told it no longer includes a beverage which makes Wine and Company 3 courses a better deal with 3 entrees, 8 mains n 3 desserts to include a beverage @$49. My other regular joint for a good luncheon. Sorry guys …. go check them out. Although, i prefers MPD which i would dine here 3 times a week. Both my friend and his wife had the calamari and they truly loved it. I had the scallops, it was exceptionally good. That, it would be my regular entree. The steak here to me had always been very good as fully agreed by my friend. Both my friend’s wife and i had the slow cooked strap, a first and it was really outstanding. Desserts were good for its tiramisu, Bombe Alaska n Chocolate brûlée. Loving the wine list one of the restaurant that offers Rockford Basket Press at a resonable price. We opted for a Grosett Riesling which goes so well with our courses. Keep up the good culinary skills, centre of excellence for service. All staff here are truly exceptional great. Please review the express luncheon to include a glass of wine / beverage. I would return next month as i am away for a month on a good food journey in Asia. See you guys again end of MAY.

   Every visit to MPD in Caulfield is a masterclass in exceptional hospitality and unforgettable food. From the moment we walk in, we’re greeted like family—by name, no less! The staff are warm, personable, and truly elevate the whole experience. Let’s talk starters—because they’re reason enough to keep coming back. The kingfish with spiced buttermilk is my absolute go-to: light, fresh, and packed with flavour. The combo of avocado, cucumber pickle, and fish roe is perfection. Then there’s the grilled halloumi with figs, honey, and pear—a stunning dish! The honey drizzle adds a beautiful twist that makes this unlike any halloumi I’ve ever had. We were surprised with complimentary harissa lamb skewers with minted labneh, and WOW—so tender, juicy, and full of flavour. The salt and pepper calamari with lemon aioli was another winner—crisp, fresh, and totally moreish. Now, onto the mains—the steaks are hands-down the best we’ve had anywhere. I had the Red Gum Creek eye fillet, cooked to medium rare perfection. My husband went with the Southern Ranges porterhouse with pepper sauce, and it was every bit as good. Each steak is served with a delightful selection of mustards, presented by the ever-friendly staff. It's those little touches that really make MPD special. To finish, we shared the new chocolate brûlée—light, silky smooth, and paired beautifully with a yoghurt ice cream. The perfect ending to a flawless meal. MPD Caulfield never misses. From the impeccable service to the top-tier dishes, it’s a place that feels like a second home with food that feels like a celebration. We’ll absolutely be back—again and again!

   We enjoyed our dinner so much and the food is fantastic. Everything we orderes is cooked well and great flavour. We will be back for sure

   Went here for the Wednesday steak special. Tasted fantastic and great value. Will return to try some of the other menu items.

   The express lunch we had was definitely great value for money. Food was great and service was good but could be better. Ambience was good and acceptable and we had an enjoyable lunch.

   Service was friendly and professional. Entrees and desserts were excellent. Mains a bit disappointing with both steaks tough. Only downside of the night but considering it’s a steak place they probably need to change butchers.

   We attended for the Valentine’s Day 6 course set menu. It had been a while since we have been there so we were excited for a bit of a romantic evening as we remember it being previously. There seemed to have been some modifications to the dinings area as when we entered it felt very much like just going for a pub meal and not what we recall MPD being like. (Which is completely fine if that’s what you’re expecting) The food was great. The roses left on the table was lovely but the overall ambiance was off for us. When you’re paying $125pp for a set menu, I guess we just expected a bit more. The staff were all polite but we just felt a little rushed through.

    We booked a set, 3 course, Valentine’s Day dinner. It exceeded expectations. The recently renovated space, coupled with attentive wait staff and excellent food made it a truly memorable evening. The food is beautifully presented and extremely tasty. The $99 per head was, in my view, excellent value and included a red rose and complimentary sparkling wine. It is part of a gaming venue and the location is not to everyone’s taste but as a suburban venue it’s a great choice.
