   The Moon and Sixpence is a lively restaurant offering a range of cocktails and an extensive menu. It is wise to book a table and for a meal for two a seat in the window over looking the sea, cliffs, cottages and Abbey steps is a beautiful backdrop to enhance your experience.

   Utterly love the place, great atmosphere, great food, lovely cocktails, excellent service. We make a special trip to Whitby and to eat there.

   Overnight in Whitby. Stayed at Moon & Sixpence and dined there. Miserable windy wet night. Table looking out of window with great views of stormy harbour and up to abbey. Lovely dinner with home made soup and fresh local seafood. Reasonably priced but limited wine list. Excellent friendly service. Good value and will return.

   one of the best plate of fish and chips I have had in Whitby, and there many places to eat F&C's. Great to people watch and if you are lucky seal watching.
