Mid October Saturday night. Food was exceptionally good. Sushi some of best I've had in a while. We did not sit at Hibachi table but watched a few shows and the chefs are varsity here. They also have a full bar which Was nice. Wine I ordered by glass was fresh too. I will definitely be back.

We were in OCNJ on vacation and Miyako was one of the few nearby sushi places. There's no parking lot and we had a little trouble finding a nearby spot on the street. Most of their business seems to be hibachi but we were there for sushi. Staff was attentive and courteous. We tried a variety of sushi rolls and we were very happy with the flavor and quality. Back home, we're blessed with some outstanding five-star sushi destinations and Miyako is not quite up to their ambience, creativity, and variety. But overall we recommend Miyako for an enjoyable meal with very good food quality and service.

Terrible! We arrived for our 8:00 reservation for 5 people, the place was jam packed and there were at least 3 other large parties with 8:00 reservations for hibachi tables. It was obvious the tables were full with people who hadn't even started eating yet! This place must overbook and never stop taking reservations. When it was clear that there was no way we were eating before 10:00 , we left!

The service was very good. My dinner partner and I spit a roll, possibly dragon roll. I would swear it had a fish stick type product in it. It as weird. He also got eel sashimi. It was one piece. The salads that came with our enters were able but very watery. My entree, chicken with vegetables on skewers with brown rice was good. Large portion. My partner got an udon soup and enjoyed it. Acceptable restaurant but not great. Within a groupon I would not return.

It was a decent place. Not top end and not bottom shelf. The server was very hard to understand and she spoke very lowly but the restaurant was extremely loud, so it was even harder to understand what she way saying. The food was decent, again nothing over the top but it's what we expected. All in all, it was decent.

I would not tell anyone to go there for dinner or anything else. We went there had reservations were seated at a table ate our food had a after dinner drink served and paid the bill (I left a 30 percent tip because our waitress was wonderful) and then while we were enjoying our drinks the hostess comes over and ask us to move because she had a big party came in and wanted our table. NO we would like to buy you a drink for moving or please accept our dessert or anything just move( it is funny they waited until we paid the bill to ask us to move) We eat out every weekend and we can spend our money anywhere and I dont need to go there and be treated like a piece of furntiure

So noisy snd confused we couldn't find our waitress who forgot everything to bring our check! Completely overbooked. Kids loved it. Parents did not..

Unfortunately the staff was unorganized and we had to fight for our table because two hostesses promised the same table. It was unfortunate circumstance that may have us writing the restaurant off our list.
