Mita's is the second restaurant from James Beard Finalist Chef Jose Salazar and is named after his Colombian grandmother - his "Mita." The beautiful 130 seat restaurant designed by MSA Architects is located in the heart of downtown Cincinnati at the corner of Fifth and Race Streets on the ground floor of the 84.51 Building. Mita's eclectic, farm inspired tapas menu focuses on both the traditional and modern foods and beverages of Spain and Latin America, with charcuterie, ceviches, and paella.

    We enjoyed dining on the outside patio. Although there was street noise, it was much quieter than inside & the weather was very pleasant.

    What a fantastic experience! Such fresh and delicious food! The pacing of the dishes was superb and the cocktails were amazing. We particularly loved the tostones and the paella. A great way to celebrate my husband's birthday out, thanks Mita's!

    As a Cincinnati native and a foodie, this restaurant ranks in my top 5 in the city, no question. Jose Salazar is quickly making a name for himself here, and this is where he is at his best. Amazing, diverse menu, amazing service, and every dish tasting incredible where the chef’s talent really shines. Not only is the food exquisite, it is a great value too. Highly recommend - it is one of those places that you can confidently speak highly of because you know it will deliver.

    Busy Saturday night and our party of 8 all had an amazing experience. Great service from start to finish, great variety of drinks and foods to pick from and share. Will definitely be back!

    Mita’s is one of our favorite spots for dinner. The service was attentive without hovering and provided detailed answers to all our questions.The Ibericon Pork chop was the best I have ever had. We can’t wait for the next time.

    Transcendent dining experience. Warm and impeccable service, astonishing excellence in the menu additions and everything else we ordered. Fish, pastry, beef, vegetables all cooked perfectly and displayed beautifully. Unusual delicious combinations and presentation. Wine and cocktails were exceptional. No superlative is too extravagant for the evening. Every minute was a delight.
