Bad experience. Waited over 15 minutes for three glasses of water and ice tea. Waiter advised they did not have any clean dishes. Appetizer and one entree came out together. We had no silverware or napkins. Other two entrees came out ten minutes later. Requested for medium rare lamb chops; they came out well-done. Crab cake sandwich came out with lamb chops. Overall food was okay. Floor felt greasy from the time we walked in. Venue is very small; not good for groups. I will try another venue for comparison. May I also add Manager did come out to apologize for the inconvenience, however, I did ask to see him/her. She claimed they were short on employees and the dishwasher broke his foot the night before. Too much information. Not acceptable. I’ll try them again at a much later date.

Our server was super nice. We brought a cake. They cut it for us and served it. It was 2 peoples birthdays and they also brought them a dessert. So happy we went.

This was our first visit and I thoroughly enjoyed the visit. The food was absolutely delicious. The pasta jambalaya was flavorful as was the catfish and grits. The fried green tomatoes were sooo good. The service was also outstanding.

Food and service was PERFECT! Waiter was knowledgeable and pleasant. Hostess was friendly upon our arrival and showed us to our table immediately. Food was excellent. Menu simple with a variety of food. Only downside was the music was a little too loud as we were directly under the speaker. Lastly no vegan options. Overall very good! Will definitely return.

We had a lunch at Miss Toya's to celebrate my husbands birthday and the food and drinks were great. We thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. I would say the drinks were a bit pricey in my opinion. Loved the environment.

Great potential, iffy service! Giving 4/5 rating because the food is good, this place is new and can improve. Our server was kind, however didn’t communicate well. Server training is needed or she just doesn’t have the personality for the position. A young man assisting with bringing out our food had such an unwelcoming grimace it gave off a very uncomfortable feeling! Again the food was good, prices reasonable & loved the music selection however my family agreed that we will not be back to dine in! The best thing about the visit was the friendly singing bartender bringing our drinks to the table! I would revisit for happy hour at the bar for sure.

I had the pleasure of dining at Miss Toya’s Baltimore twice: once on my birthday April 1st and again with my family on April 6th. Everyone enjoyed their food, so I would rate it a perfect 10 out of 10. I often visit top restaurants in the city, from Capital Grill to Ruxton's, but sometimes you just crave good soul food, and Miss Toya’s delivered. I want to give a shout-out to the manager, Sam, and the staff who served us on April 6th; they were phenomenal with all eleven of my family members. Next, I plan to bring my staff along. We tried the lamb chops, catfish with grits, red snapper, and pork chops (which were fantastic), along with the mac and cheese, and seafood jambalaya. The food is simply amazing! TB
