About this restaurant

Minamoto specializes in Japanese cuisine with a focus on sushi as well. With over 25 years of experience, head chef Paul Tran (Tanaka) not only designed the menu but also oversees all operations in the kitchen. Focusing on bringing the taste of Japan to Concord, MinamotoÕs menu consists of shrimp tempura, fried gyoza, chicken teriyaki, chicken karaage and other authentically Japanese dishes. For sushi fans, there is a dedicated menu that hosts sushi and the various sushi options that are available when dining at Minamoto. There are also Maki sushi rolls such as kappa Maki, una kyu Maki, California tobiko rolls, tekka Maki and more. There are also Minomoto Signature rolls, Nigiri as well as Nigiri and Sashimi combinations. While Minamoto had to close in 2014 owing to a fire accident, only two months later, the little eatery reopened and is still going as strong as ever.
