Not sure how the reviews have been high. Our experience was quite bad. We got dropped off at a table and no one came to greet us for quite awhile. When the waitress did show up, she dropped the cocktail menu in front of us and immediately asked if we were ready to order drinks. Really? Couldn’t give us s couple minutes? She obviously didn’t want to make a trip back to the table to allow us time to look at the menu. So she walks away annoyed and doesn’t come back. I had to flag her down to give her our drink order. Many moons later the drinks show up and my girlfriend’s tea was barely lukewarm. But since she took off immediately and refused to make eye contact with us, we couldn’t tell her what was going on. About 20 minutes later we finally ordered some food. When it started to come out, my food came out first and my girlfriends didn’t show up. I sat for TWENTY minutes trying to flag her down. Eventually I had to literally talk very loudly across the restaurant saying “Excuse me” to get her attention. She said she’d check on it and never came back. We waited even longer. Turned out she screwed up the order and didn’t put my girlfriend’s order in. Mind you, this was my girlfriend’s birthday dinner. Eventually her food came almost 40 minutes later. Our drinks were empty and she never asked if we wanted anything else. I had to ask the table busser to order me another drink. Of course he wasn’t happy about that. All in all it was a 2 hour dinner with 20 minutes of actual eating. To add insult to injury, I made arrangements ahead of time to have a birthday dessert for her. I told them my girlfriend was lactose intolerant. What did they bring out? A single scoop of ice cream and something that looked like a flan. Ridiculous. Thanks for ruining a special dinner dinner! I won’t be back.

Had early dinner at 3:30 for Father’s Day, a perfect time for a party of 3 that includes a vision and mobility challenged 85 y.o. Great ambience with low noice level before the happy hour crowd. This is our second visit and it was even more memorial. The favorites are seaweed wrapped uni/toro (off menu) and sashimi combo (including amazingly fatty king salmon sashimi), uni & wagyu rolls, and fish pot. Even the vegetable tempura was excellent as well. The senior in our group lived in Japan and gave two thumbs up to the quality of sashimi and nigiri - one of the best in the area. The uni is from Hokkaido, very fresh and has a uniquely sweet taste that lingers long after the bite. Just uni alone is worth a trip to Minamoto where the essence of traditional Japanese seafood cuisine is still preserved amid creative fusion dishes.

The food was excellent and extremely quick to arrive at our table (we ordered sushi only, no hot food). Our primary server was rather disinterested/inattentive, but everyone else was very responsive and helpful. A little pricey, but the food was delish.

This place had decent lunch options,so my third time around i came in for dinner. My recommendation will be..... do not waste your money and stay away from dinner menu. Do yourself a favor by saving your lovely taste buds. Wagu sushi was over priced and terrible. It was so tough i couldn't chew no more and had to swallow the thing. Uni was okay..but idk for a 25bucks a piece..okay shouldn't be described. Mushroom pot something in almond milk was so gross. We took a sip and looked at each other...gave wt.....look @.@ I've had better hospital food than that. So save your $500 go somewhere else.

    1. Grilling meat on the table where sushi is served doesn’t work well. Tables do not have overhead fans. When diners next to our table started grilling meat on their table, the smoke and smell were not very pleasant. 2. Menu needs to be kept clean. My menu was wet with water. If menu is not clean, you wonder how their kitchen would be.
