   Such a disappointing meal. My son and I were visiting Boston, and we were looking forward to this reservation. We arrived very early at 5:25, and there were only 2 other tables and 2 people at the bar. We ordered the Mangia Monday and selected 5 pastas. I also ordered a cocktail. The salads and bread came quickly, and in 30 mins, our first two pastas arrived. I still didn’t have my drink and reminded the waiter. It came another 10 mins later. And then we waited almost an hour for our next two pastas. It was insane. And we never got our fifth pasta, despite reminding the waiter that we didn’t have it yet. After sitting for two hours, we were over it and told the waiter to cancel the last one. He comped me cocktail, but frankly, it really wasn’t a solution. I do not recommend this restaurant. Some of the pastas were tasty, but they weren’t cooked well. We couldn’t eat a quarter of the mushroom pasta because the noodles were clumped into a hard rock. There’s no excuse for that at an Italian restaurant, and it also signaled poor quality control. The worst of it was that they had plenty of staff, and someone who appeared to be a manager was in front of the kitchen window the entire time and monitoring tickets. Still we had such a problem getting our food. For a little more perspective, a six top table came in 45 mins after us and finished 20 mins before we left. A four top next to us came in an hour after and was casually having dessert and coffee while we were still waiting for entrees.

   Always an excellent meal at Mida! Today it was brunch. We got savory meals and split the Lemon Ricotta pancakes for dessert! Divine!

   The best tiramisu I have had. They do it their own way and it’s very unique. Genuinely great Italian food. Couldn’t say I didn’t like anything.

   Wonderful service and people. Thoroughly enjoyed the “Chef’s Table” experience at the high top, and appreciated the kitchen samples. Everything was delicious (food & drink), but the arancini were the best I’ve ever had, period. Highly recommend.

    I book reservations for the family I work for - They love their evening at Mida. The food was excellent (Calamari, Ceasar, mushroom Bolognese, & salmon). Service was very lovely. The only downer is the large beautiful windows in the back stream in ALOT of sun and there are no shades - so bring your shades!
