   Having anticipated the opening of this restaurant for 2 years, we were very disappointed. The food was just okay, the noise level was that of a lower scale restaurant and the overall experience was underwhelming. Sadly, it did not meet any of our expectations.

   Our experience was amazing! Ambiance is lovely. The hostesses were so welcoming and asked if we wanted a tour first. The staff was so friendly and attentive, our waitress was amazing! The food was incredible I had the octopus to start and the chips and salsa they give you is fire. Dinner I had the 20 oz bone in ribeye cooked to perfection. The corn and truffle fries were outstanding. The churros for dessert is a must. The drinks also were excellent. Mezcal didn’t disappoint. I’d say a 15 out of 10! It was my Mom and Dad’s Anniversary and Mom’s bday that we were celebrating, the espresso martinis came out and said Happy Birthday and Happy Anniversary what a great idea!

   Ambience: 10/10. The moment you walk into Mezcal, you feel like you’re anywhere but New Jersey. The atmosphere is incredible — they nailed it. Drinks: The cocktails are over-the-top, with a full-on performance when they’re served. If you’re into Instagram moments, you’ll love it. Personally, I’m more of a “just give me the drink and let’s move on” type. Service: Staff was super friendly and attentive all night. We never felt rushed, and everyone was genuinely welcoming. Food: You’re definitely getting what you pay for — high-quality dishes with high-quality ingredients. I had the steak and pork tacos, the octopus starter, and we shared the tomahawk steak as our main. The steak came with chimichurri and cowboy butter — highly recommend adding both. MUST ORDER: The corn. Seriously, it might be the best thing on the menu. Overall: I’m giving Mezcal a 4/5. It’s a really cool spot, and the Mexican dishes are unique — but for me, it just wasn’t “Mexican enough.” Definitely worth checking out once, but not sure it’s a regular return spot. Cost: I spent about $400.

   Food and service were impeccable! Drinks menu was awesome! Great experience! A little pricey for this area but it was well worth it. The whole experience was phenomenal. I can't wait to go back!

   We had a fantastic anniversary dinner at Mezcal! The food was excellent. The service was just as impressive. Our waiter, Jim, was outstanding—friendly, attentive, and made great recommendations. Highly recommend and can’t wait to come back!
