   Nice restaurant with a cosy feel and covered garden area. For me it was a bit chilly due to people walking in & out of the garden frequently. The food was nice, nothing amazing, but good portions and hearty food. It was perfect for a casual catch up with friends.

   At £16.95 each for a roast dinner you expect something special, or at least for it to be edible. I ordered the lamb, the meat was delicious but that was it. The dinner was served in a bowl, drowning in a not particularly nice sweet gravy which made everything taste the same. One piece of broccoli, 2 parsnips and a carrot and 4 rock hard ‘roast potatoes’ one of which couldn’t even be cut with a steak knife. The Yorkshire pudding was burnt on top and soggy everywhere else, it was just a huge disappointment. I politely complained about the potatoes and the sweetness and amount of the ‘gravy’ at the end of the meal. They said they’d feed it back to the chef but no further word on it from the staff. It would have been much appreciated if they had just come back and apologised. Be aware the bread that is brought as soon as your bottom hits the chair is charged for...worth it because it was lovely but a bit of a surprise at the end, especially considering the complaint I made and the half eaten meal. My friend enjoyed his beef dinner, but the Yorkshire was more of a pancake than a pudding! They also overcharged on the glass of wine I ordered by £2.50, but by this point I couldn’t be bothered complaining again, we cut our loses, feeling thoroughly ripped off and vowed not to return. Which is a shame as the staff seemed lovely and I liked the quirky decor and feel of the place.

   Food was great. Just disappointing you had to order from the valentine's day menu which was more expensive than the normal menu!

   Such a lovely place. Great food, could not fault the service they were so nice and didn’t bother us lots. If you want somewhere lovely for dinner that won’t break the bank go there

   The service at the venue was encompassing and engaging from start to finish. It was as you were welcomed by a long lost friend! I was impressed they even when they did not have something on the menu, it was dealt with professionally but with such charisma you found yourself not caring one jot. There is a lovely romantic setting with candles and low level lighting at the restaurant in the back section. They have also decorated the rear garden as a 'chalet' over winter meaning the garden can still get full use. They are obviously proud of it and rightly so. I could not recommend this venue enough for the service. The food was lovely too and I cannot wait to return.

   Great . Staff amazing , so friendly , the food was great as usual apart from rubarb crumble. Too much stewed fruit. Not enough crumble . Will defo be back tho !

   Such a shame, after a good meal the waiter tried charging us £30 more on top of the bill! When challenged it was responded by the boss with he can’t count. I was wondering how much this happens, as if I never checked it, it would of been paid with a Handsome tip! So if you go, check the bill

    We went to the Metro for our anniversary, the ambience was perfect with fairy lights decorating the covered patio area. Service was spot on and the food delicious. Would definitely recommend.
