To expensive for what it is. For a Michelin Star restaurant I was expecting better menu. A simple fish from LaPaz is not an option. Or overall all plates that they offered on tasting menu sent worth to pay the amount I paid.

I love Meteora! Sat at the bar this time vs. doing the tasting menu. Everything was fantastic and unique. The staff is so incredibly accommodating. Excited to have this as an option for a drink as well as for a memorable dining experience!

Overall a nice fine dining experience. Wait staff and servers are all knowledgeable of the menu and provided context and direction to elevate the dining experience. Food was very experimental and I enjoyed the layers of tastes and textures throughout. The amount of food was just right. It was a great experience but for the price, I have a hard time wanting to come back.

This is one of my first negative reviews on OT. We came to Meteora to celebrate my mother’s birthday with a party of nine in a private dining experience, expecting a memorable evening at a Michelin-starred spot. I had talked it up to my entire family—many of whom traveled from out of town and even internationally—because I’d had a great meal there a few months prior.
The food? Good. Thoughtfully composed, well-executed, and full of flavor. The kitchen clearly has talent.
The service? Not so much—with the important exception of the general wait staff, who were warm, friendly, and tried their best to hold things together.
Where things completely fell apart was the beverage and sommelier experience. Despite giving advance notice that this was a special occasion, no one mentioned a wine list. The drink pairings were totally mismanaged—tiny pours (at one point, a single beer split between three people), often arriving 10 to 15 minutes before the dish they were meant to accompany. Cocktails took just as long—15 minutes between each order. We were often left sitting dry, unattended, and wondering if anything was coming at all.
I quietly left the table and discreetly raised these concerns with the front of house, I was hoping for a simple course correction. The response was the executive SOM team not only being defensive but unprofessional. Rather than handling it discreetly, the sommelier aired the entire issue to the table, making the vibe awkward for everyone. Worse yet, they tried to shift the blame onto us, suggesting that our getting up to use the restroom was the problem—when in fact, we only stepped away because of the uncomfortable lag between drink service and courses, with no communication or presence at the table.
Bottom line: The kitchen delivers. The wait staff was kind. But the executive and sommelier team? A complete letdown. At this level, hospitality is about more than just what’s on the plate—it’s about pacing, awareness, and professionalism.

What an amazing, once in a lifetime experience. Excellent, attentive and knowledgeable service staff. Great timing. Superb presentation. Unique and adventurous ambience. The flavors were exceptional. It was a gastronomical extravaganza, and our party savored each bite. We really learned a lot and experienced truly a world-wide panoply of foods and tastes. The yam dish that wasn't on the main menu was one of the best things we had. The wine parings and juice pairings were worth the "supplement." Even the sparking water was out of this world. Prepare to spend at least three hours for the experience. This was NOT an inexpensive evening. We spent $2000 for a party of 5, but we literally ordered just about every option and upgrade on the menu. We'd do it again, but my wife and I plan to visit Meteora's big sister restaurant, Vespertine, before we do!

Wow! I'm from NYC and travel extensively, so this isn't my first fine dining experience. I went for the Alain Giraud event. It was easily the best meal I've had in the past year or so. The "faux" bernaise accompanied by asparagus was absolutely devine. Even the dessert course, which consisted of meringue, something I don't generally care for, was so well executed I thoroughly enjoyed it. The staff was very knowledgeable and extremely welcoming. It gave me no doubt why the other diners at the bar were regulars at Meteora. Would definitely recommend it.

My wife and I have tried many Michelin restaurants in Japan which are spectacular. So far none of the Michelin restaurants in Los Angeles have compared to them. Meteora is the exception. Its that good. Everything was perfect. By far our favorite restaurant in Los Angeles!!!
