Meta Restaurant in Oceanside is the supreme Long Island dining experience. It is the perfect gathering place for friends, family, or clients - everyone who appreciates great food. It has been ZAGAT Rated as one of the Best Italian Restaurants on Long Island since the doors opened in September of 2000.

Owned by Chef Roberto Bosotina, every meal at Meta is prepared with the finest quality foods, cooked to perfection and served by the friendly, knowledgeable staff. The full and extensive menu, aside from the signature daily house specialties of three oven roasted fish, succulent duck, and baby pork osso bucco, is rich in antipasti, unique salads, seafood specialties, mouth-watering meats, and delicious desserts. Chef Roberto believes that good food equals good times. And a good time is guaranteed every time you dine at Meta. The cozy, friendly atmosphere is inviting and just one bite will convince you that the food is clearly the best food under the sun.

    Dined at Meta with a party of8 sat.night. Michelle welcomed us and our table was ready and waiting for us. Our server Adam was attentive to all our needs, adults and children alike. Our food came quickly and he always checked on us to make sure every course was to our liking…. From the wine to the desert…. and it was excellent. And likewise owner Roberto always checks ALL his guests to make sure they are having an awesome meal and dining experience!! BRAVO META!!

    The food and service are excellent. I had the spicy rubbed pork tenderloin. Previously, as entrees, I've had the Roasted Rock fish, St. Peters Fish. As appetizers, I've had the mussels, the calamari and the little neck clams. All were delicious. The prices are very affordable. This has become one of our favorite restaurants.

    The six of us had our usual great time at Meta to celebrate my birthday. We all had our favorite dish with plenty to take home with us. Our new server, Jess, was excellent, and she took extra good care of us. Good to see Michele, as we missed her on our last visit. Be back soon!!

    The service was slightly delayed had to keep asking the waiter to come over. Also the noise level was extremely loud. We had a table right next to us where the person was talking, and you could hear her voice over the entire restaurant and lastly, the food was subpar for a local restaurant serving the food that they did. The price was overcharged. Definitely not what was expected truly disappointed, especially in Italian restaurant.

    Food is excellent. There was nothing our group did not like. Serving sizes are very generous. We have leftovers for another day!

    A local gem! Mario was courteous and professional. Cocktails were excellent. Food was outstanding. Highly recommended!
