    The hotel appeared to a limited amount of guests on this morning. The buffet was not offered as an option.

    The omlets were amazing being made to order. Loved our server Marco very attentive enjoyed the mimosas! The shrimp was also amazing all we wanted-new York could have been cooked better a bit dry. Enjoy prim rib more the staff very friendly as a whole!

    We had rare filet and it was so tender we didn't need a knife to cut out steak. Delicious!

    Valentine's Day at Meritage...What could good wrong? EVERYTHING! We were slow to be sat, even though we had a reservation. We ordered their Valentine's Day feature with the addition of bacon wrapped shrimp as our appetizer. After waiting 35 minutes we received our main course, however, we had not gotten our appetizer or our salads yet, so they took our meal back to the kitchen and brought out our appetizer and salads at the same time. We were getting ready to start eating those, and here came our main course again, which sat on our table getting cold while we finished our appetizer and salads. We had to ask for dinner plates and steak knives. We requested our Chateaubriand be cooked medium, what we received was rare to the point that we had to bring it home and cook it longer before we could eat it. No one ever checked on us to see if our meal was alright, if our steak was cooked correctly, if we needed refills on our drinks (which we did and never got), or anything. The only time anyone approached our table it was to take our order, deliver food or clear dishes. We were very disappointed because we live like 10 minutes away and were really looking forward to discovering a new, local restaurant.

    I can understand why on a Friday night, on Valentine’s Day this restaurant was not even half full. It took 15 minutes to be acknowledged by our server and 30 minutes before we got our drinks. 1 hour in we got our bread and appetizers. The manager delivered them and when we told him how long it was taking. He said he “was our guy” and would make sure we were taken care of. That was the last I saw of him. 1:45 in to the night we got our dinner. A Filet Mignon ordered Med Rare was grey throughout and was only half eaten. No one followed up to see how things were. We dared not return the steak as we had plans for the morning and were afraid we may not get a replacement in time. We did order a couple of deserts and after dinner drinks to split. Those took an additional 30 minutes. The whole experience took 3 hours for a restaurant that was half full!!! Food did taste good other than the one $44 steak temp being WAY over cooked. Service and Manager follow up were awful!! Like I said, I now get why they were empty on a Friday on Valentine’s Day. Probably only included other people that made late reservations like me and won’t make that mistake again. Highway robbery for the price based on the experience. Apparently everyone else already knew that and that was why the place was so empty, I should have caught on. Last time we will be there.

    The food was very good. Service was very slow. We waited for about 25 minutes just to get the appetizer we ordered.

    The room is very outdated, for being a high priced place it looked like a cafeteria. Food was good. Very unorganized as far as staff. Our waitress was good.

    Took my aunt out for an early Christmas! Lots of choices so something for everyone. Service was great. We all enjoyed it!

    WARNING!!!! This establishment CONFIRMED (via OpenTable) my 9:00 pm reservation. But when we arrived at 8:59pm, the restaurant had already CLOSED!!!! We were left stranded by this restaurant and when we tried to book a new reservation somewhere else, OpenTable wouldn’t allow it because The Meritage didn’t cancel our reservation!!!!! I e-mailed OpenTable immediately and NEVER heard back!!! This is TERRIBLE customer service on the part of both The Meritage and OpenTable.
