   Had a fabulous lunch with a very good choice of menu.The staff were very attentive in filling up water glasses and asking if all well.Overall a great dining experience, had never been before and will certainly go again. Thanks Mercury,myself and 2 daughters really enjoyed our lunch.

   Excellent food. Small menu but what we had was outstanding. Could not of faulted it. Wasn’t expecting that. Good service. Will go again and would recommend to everyone

   Great food and service. It was pretty empty on the weekend. I didn’t need to reserve a table. First time going there and will be back.

   Very nice little restaurant in the museum, food was very nice but my portion of salmon fish cakes could have been a little bigger considering the price. The chickpea salad got rave reviews! We were a table of 5- and 1-person's order was forgotten about, it was mentioned twice to the waitress before it was brought to the table. This is a nice space but probably better to catch up for a snack, coffee or wine with friends. The menu is so limited, if you're fussy you probably won't find anything here for you.

   We had a lovely celebration lunch at Mercury for 5 guests. The food was delicious and its presentation was excellent. The view and dining space was very airy and comfortable. The waitresses were attentive, happy to accommodate sauce requests and very friendly. My only comment would be the portion sizes with respect to the price - it would be nice to have 2 halves of a hardboiled egg versus only half, the cake for dessert is a finger slice though the crumbs and berry coulis fill much of the plate. It feels like the portions are small for the sake of being small, so that it's "fancy".

    I can only give 1 star rating as I booked a high tea at the Melbourne Museum and this was highlighted in the booking form. Despite receiving a reminder, when I arrived I was advised that the high tea was connected to the exhibition so was no longer being served (as the exhibition had finished). However, despite booking nearly two weeks earlier (when the exhibition was still on) no one followed up to advise me of this. It seemed more convenient to blame both the IT system and the Melbourne Museum - despite the booking showing that it was high tea that was booked.
