   We took our neighbors to dinner at the Mercantile for the first time. We all had a wonderful meal and the service is outstanding.

   This was our first time at the Mercantile and we really liked it. The abundance was nice and the staff was friendly. I ordered the New York strip and it was fantastic. It’s a little on the expensive side, but worth it.

   Our calamari was overcooked was very very chewy. My steak was done perfectly. My husband’s was overcooked.

   So good. Great whiskey sours. Fries are sublime. 10-10- will dine again.

   We had reservations and were seated promptly. Our server was wonderful. My husband tried the pork chop which was recommended and our party of 4 all want to go back and get it, it was that good. We love their popovers and garlic herb butter. With the increase cost of eggs the popovers are no longer complimentary—we are so glad we each got one, they were as good as we remembered! Worth the $3! One of our favorite places for a good meal.

   I ordered the New York strip cooked medium - it was deep red and very bloody. Had them cook it longer, came back overdone. Was so long that I decided to just eat it anyway. Quite disappointed in the quality of the meat and its poor preparation. I did love the mashed potatoes! When making reservation on Open Table, I wanted a table at around 6:00. Closest I could get was 5:15. We were the only people in the place until 5:30. A few people came in, but at 6:00 there were still seven tables open and three servers chatting idly behind the bar! Not planning to return with this poor level of food and hospitality!

Properly cooked steaks and attentive service are core to what we aim to deliver, and we regret that we missed the mark on both during your visit.     We enjoyed our evening at KM - the service was great, the steak was out of this world, the popovers, salad, app and creme brulee did not disappoint. Very delicious and enjoyable evening.
