   We went for Easter brunch on Sunday. It was very disorganized. We had six different servers come to our table for different things. One of our servers didn’t even know the name of the restaurant when I asked about it. Others were confused about my questions about the Indian food Just saying they didn’t know. The buffet was often empty and very messy. There were not adequate plates for what was being served. The operation needs a hole due over, but I will say the food I did eat was good. I will stick to Mehfil in Asheville.

That day was a particularly busy one for us, and unfortunately, we had a last-minute call-out from one of our key servers.    Service and staff were outstanding very friendly and congenial. Sitting outside was so refreshing with a great view, unfortunately it was cloudy day and the Mts. were partially obstructed. I am not really a fan of Indian food, however there was plenty of options to choose from on the buffet.

   We were so excited to find a known Asheville high quality Indian restaurant now so close to Hendersonville. We’ve lived in India and miss high quality Indian cuisine, especially since the demise of Andaaz, which was in our opinion the best in the area. So, the food we gave a 4, with the expectation the menu will expand once the tandoori oven is in place. We personally would absolutely LOVE some South Indian dishes, especially dosas. We’ll be watching how this goes. Good luck.

   We love Indian food. We were so excited to see that Mehfils had come to Hendersonville for a short while. Wasn’t that great. The menu had no naan. No dahl. No tandoori chicken. The online menu differed from the printed menu; the Lamb on the printed menu was different than the Lamb on the online menu. Very disappointing. My partner‘s chicken tikka masala was OK. They served me bits of tandoori chicken cut off of some other dish. Dry. Unappetizing.  The Indian bread they served was dry flat and unappetizing. So, our hopes were dashed. Better luck next time people.

   Thank you for your feedback. This was our first week open, and we were operating with a limited menu as we trained staff and finalized operations. We understand the frustration and are already making improvements. We’ve since added naan and will be including favorites like dahl and tandoori chicken soon. The menu discrepancies have been corrected as well. We’re excited to grow quickly and hope you’ll give us another try as we work to deliver the full Mehfil’s experience Hendersonville deserves.    Mehfil really out did themselves with the new fusion menu! Will definitely be back.
