Appalled that this restaurant has a high rating bc this is definitely one of the worst restaurants I've probably every eaten at (& I've eaten at many).
Food: It's tapas style but the serving sizes are made for a toddler and astronomically overpriced. The mushroom "shawarma" (disgrace to call it that) was so salty it was inedible. The prawns had no taste to it with too much oil, not enough flavor. The Mbattan had no flavor in the zhoug or in the breading. The muhammara was overdone with salty/tangy flavor which overtook the dish. Literally nothing we ordered was good, it was so incredibly disappointing. Even the bread was ok, honey and salt with the dips was a weird combo.
Menu: They have hidden ingredients that are NOT listed in the menu (what about people with food allergies, religious exemptions??). Tuna Kofta has pork in it and pork was not in the description. They rely on waiters to tell customers (not sure how that would work for to-go orders)
Service: Disclaimer: waiter was very nice, I liked him and his explanation of the menu. Now lets get into it. All of the dishes we ordered came out at once and quickly. There was no pace. One of our dishes we ordered (falafel) never even came! We even asked for the bill and were charged with the falafel when we realized we never even got it. When we brought this up, there was no apology or explanation, no response or anything. We asked for it to be removed from the bill (since we never got the dish) and were just met with "ok" and it being removed, very awkward.
Front Staff: It seemed like the hostess stand was understaffed. I had to stand there for a few minutes before someone came up to check me in (looks like they needed extra hands at the restaurant). I also had to wait 10 minutes to get seated when I was early for my reservation. We didn't get water or waited on until 15 minutes after being seated. It was just a mess and overall slow service
In conclusion, save your money. The food is not worth it at all.
MaziResponded 6 days agoThank you for taking the time to share your feedback. We're really sorry to hear that your experience didn’t meet expectations. It’s clear that we missed the mark on both the food and service, and we truly appreciate you pointing out the areas where we can improve.
We’re taking your comments seriously, especially regarding ingredient transparency, and will be reviewing how we communicate this to guests, both in-house and for to-go orders. We also regret that the pacing of your meal and the handling of the missing dish weren’t up to standard. That’s definitely not the experience we want to provide, and we’ll be addressing it with our team.
We value your feedback as we continue to refine our service and offerings. We hope you'll consider giving us another try in the future.
