   I've never been disappointed until my most recent visit. I ordered the salmon and the Server made a point to ask how I like it cooked because it's normally medium rare. That's fine by me. When the fish arrived it was way overcooked (well done), so I sent it back. When I got the new one it appeared to be medium rare but when I got to the center it was ice-cold. At that point it was too late to send back, but it was unacceptable. Will be staying away for a while.

   I had never had dinner here, just drinks. But I loved it. Would go again. Shrimp toast is not what I expected but fantastic. Sesame encrusted triangles with a dipping sauce. The grits are MAGICAL. Light and fluffy in spite of all that fat. My friend's entrees were excellent. Steak tartare was a bit too mayo-rich for my taste but flavorful and a tad spicy. Vieux Carre good, as were the wines. Desserts good but not overly large. The decor is a real draw. I passed this restaurant once on my way back from Sid's Gold Room and the equestrian mural made me stop in for a drink. Happy to report the food is as good as the booze.

    Exceedingly mediocre food and service. Restaurant was empty for Sunday brunch ... yet server never came near our table.
