   Had the tasting menu, the grand one. Lot of fun and tasty bites. Some were better than others but overall, a good meal. Maybe a little pricey for the end result but still flavorful and well presented. Service was very good.

   Maypop is one of the most unique restaurants in the City. The menu consists of Asian fusion specialties. Never quite sure what the menu describes, as the ingredients are exotic, the flavors blend to a down home comfort food. The short rib debris was one of the best dishes in the City. Trust your carefully trained servers, their recommendations always are always spot on.

   We had the tasting menu and it was a great choice to experience many different dishes. Really nice space and well-appointed dining area. The food was delicious and the portions were appropriate for the price. Maypop is a must if you want a break from the typical New Orleans food offerings.

   Only issue was parking i know not restaurant issue as the city has blocked many spots which are unnecessary due to the collapse of the building across the street, we usually come here prior to going to events at Sanger but tonight had a 2nd parking cost but understand same but just hated to pay another 30 bucks to visit, Food and service was dynamite

   It’s a beautiful atmosphere….well done! I was not as blown away by the food. The meals came out temped at best, and the flavors (in my opinion) were not complimentary. The vinegar flavor was in the forefront which dominated the plate.

   The menu is very eclectic and it is brilliantly designed to mix both Asian and Southern cooking. The service was fantastic and I felt that the prices were fair relative to the portion size. Cool atmosphere and relaxing. If you are seeking a unique dining experience with flavorful foods, I’d highly recommend Maypop.

   We were greeted warmly by our waiter and asked him for recommendations. He virtually went over the entire menu and guided us through our order. We started with roti and three chutneys, the. Warm sesame rolls, and the octopus appetizer. We were appreciative of all the unique flavors we experienced. Main entrees ordered included a black drum accompanied by sticky rice gnocchi, a roast duck entree, and short rib debris. All dishes were thoroughly enjoyed. A blending of southern American and southeast Asia cuisines.

    We had a wonderful experience as usual. I love introducing friends to Maypop. It’s a hidden gem of a restaurant experience. The food is great, so consistent, but feels new every time.
