   Husband, baby and I stopped during a trip north. Friendly wait staff, yes young, but attentive. Husband had brisket which he said was dry. I had the pulled pork which was good. The Mac and cheese was flavorless. I would say a safe bet for a burger lunch but not running back.

   We love dining at this restaurant. The smoked barbecue dishes are always scrumptious and the servers are always attentive. We dined on the pulled port, ribs and chicken which we and our guests enjoyed with the great choice of sides. We will return!!

   We have tried many BBQ places and always return to Max's. Dan, the manager is engaging and super helpful. Love the BYOB, if you like, policy. They do have a full bar.

   We travel 1/2hour to Max's Memphis BBQ for their always delicious food! Especially come for the cheesy grits. My entire family has their own special choices and all of them are great. It's a relaxed, clean and friendly place at a reasonable price.

   We rush from the city to get there before it closes. The staff is young, friendly and eager to make things right. The brisket is my favorite. Sometimes I have a meal and sometimes a sandwich. The special look good, but I look forward to the brisket.

   Our dinner was delightful as. usual for us and our guests . We brought guests because all our dinners have been great. The food was delicious and the service was attentive. Looking forward to next visit.

   Food as usual was very good service on the other hand was terrible. I ordered a beer wife ordered wine. Waitress brought me the beer and no glass, wife's wine glass only had small amount in bottom of glass. We had to ask for the bread and as there were three of us they only brought three pieces not the basket they usually serve. Some of the side dishes were missing and we had to beckon to the waitress in order to get service.

   I've been to Max's many times over the years, and the service often seems rushed because they are so busy, but I have to say that we received the worst service we ever have this time. I had made reservations for 645 pm and we got there at 643. The hostess said that there would be a twenty minute wait. I asked her what the point of having reservations is if we were going to have to wait and she responded that they had booked too many reservations too close to each other. A manager (?) came over and offered us a high top table in the bar area, which we took. We were seated and the waitress came over to take our drink order, asking if there was anything else that we needed. Our response? Menus. She brought them over and we eventually ordered and received our drinks but then we had to ask for corn bread which we normally receive automatically. The food was the best than it ever has been but I am questioning going back because of the problem with the reservation and the feeling that we were an afterthought.
