   Since I was alone for Easter, I decided to eat at Max Fish, where my late husbsnd and I used to dine almost weekly. My crab cakes Benedict was tasty, but the bread item was a minimuffin, cold and with no butter and looking like it came from a grocery store. My waitperson was brusque and checked on me only once, as soon as my food had been plopped down on my table, wanting to know if it looked OK. She never checked to see if it actually tasted OK. My iced tea glass sat on the table empty, for quite some time; she didn't notice and refill it. There was no special dessert for Easter. The restaurant was busy, but did not seem to me to be overrun, so I was unpleasantly surprised to get the poor service I often get when I eat alone from a Max restaurant. The experience did not exactly contribute to a pleasant Easter as I had thought it would.

   Apps: Crab Cake & Lobster Bisque, both perfect. Should have stopped there. Both had hot lobster rolls. Lots of small pieces of lobster. From unsweet to gummy. Sides: nothing special coleslaw & not hot, but soggy shoestring potatos. Tasted like all had been sitting in kitchen for awhile. Very disappointing.

   Total experience was wonderful!!! Warm inviting restaurant with a variety of menu items. Reasonably priced. We ordered the Stuffed clams with chorizo. Fabulous!!! Then the entree of Scallops. Perfection!!! Can't wait to go back. Server was very attentive as well.

   First time there but everything was excellent! Bar was noisy but we were seated in back dining area which was quiet & cosy. Would definitely return & recommend highly!

   Consistency outstanding dining experience! The food is incredible- fresh, creative, and tasty. We especially love the daily specials. The staff is personable and attentive. The drink menu is fun and creative. We always enjoy a night out at Max Fish!

   Had a great experience at Max Fish in Glastonbury. Lauren our server was exceptional and made our experience there very enjoyable.

    The food here has gone downhill. We had ceviche that honestly had no taste at all. The crab cake was all breadcrumbs and not flavorful. The mussels were pretty standard. Nothing really to speak of.  the paella was very good and would probably be the only thing that I would order again from the items mentioned. That’s even if I ever decide to go again.
