   Location is a bit sways from Aspen downtown; not far but taxi/Ubers are difficult to come by.

   Great restaurant tucked away in a commercial building across from the airport. This is a chef-owned business and the eponymous Mawa came by to greet us. The food was delicious and generously portioned. The description read French by way of Africa. The restaurant was celebrating Black History Month and had bunch of specials representing Black cuisine in America. Everything was well executed and delicious.

   The food was pretty good but definitely didn’t seem like it was worth the price even for Aspen. The cancellation policy is crazy. I wouldn’t recommend getting a reservation unless it is peak season and going to be super busy.

   First let me say that I read a lot of reviews before coming here and noted the extraordinary amount of raves which led me to make a reservation. Here are the pros and cons the way I see it: PROS: lovely atmosphere/ambience- but one thing - although I enjoyed the music, it was much too female focused, perhaps zero seven or Sia would be a nice compromise; excellent service - but it shouldn't have been anything less since we were the only ones dining at that time, aside from a family that had left 5 min. after we were seated; the food was excellent - we got the curry and duck shepherd's pie, wonderful spices in both dishes and the flourless chocolate cake with chocolate ice cream has to be, hands down, one of the most decadent desserts we've ever had. Now for the CONS: I was quite cold throughout, enough so that I had to put my down coat back on. It was very drafty - turned out most of the heat was in the ladies room; although we really did like our cherry Negronis - made with Luxardo liquor, for the price where was the luxardo cherry?? and what the most disappointing factor was that the food was extremely overpriced - this I had read about but ignored. I had read that this was a locals eatery - I sure don't know how the locals can afford to come here........

   We loved this restaurant, great flavors, everything was delicious !!! The best in Aspen, so unusual and refreshing ! I recommend 100%

   Superb food - accompaniments as wonderful as entrees. Friendly, attentive, and charming service. Ambience very slightly degraded by the present commercial/office park location but I doubt this operation will have to stay there long. Most highly recommended!

   Menu was great. Service was great. It was extremely loud from a large party. It was unpleasant but not the fault of the restaurant.

   Food was interesting. We loved that every meal had a vegan option. The place was busy and it was hard to get our server to return for is to place additional drink orders and so on.

    My sons birthday 🎉 A tad hard to find- But worth it!!! The food is fresh and delicious. Some unique dishes that we enjoyed- and enough to chose from for people who like more predictable dishes Fondue was fun and yummy
