   The lighting is too dark, the menu is too expensive, the salad had too much bacon and blue cheese, the asparagus was burnt, you have to take an elevator to get to the restrooms and parking is inconvenient. Will not be going back.

   Service was great. Staff were friendly and helpful. Food was amazing. It was a little dark inside.

   UPDATE: 6 Months later and still no contact from Mastro's. Emails saying they'll contact me but no one ever does. Absolutely absurd. I've been to Mastros in excess of 20 times over the years. This was by far the worst it's ever been. Waiter didn't bother to read the reservation information, since it was for my Mother's birthday dinner, so no personalization at all. Didn't bother to tell us his name and seemed disinterested in serving us. And I understood during Covid, but still charging for bread at allegedly one of the best restuarants around, is ridiculous. $65-$100 for a steak and $20 for a salad and still have to pay for bread, that's worth $2 at most. My 12 oz filet was cooked perfectly, but was tasteless. Had to request salt just to give it some flavor. My Mother had the Chilean Sea Bass, which she said tasted good, but woke up at 4 am with stomach issues. I admit that it could be related or just coincidental. Hard to say. Ordered the butter cake. They had a blueberry buttercake as well and I asked our waiter which he thought was better. His response was absolutely ridiculous and extremely inappropriate for a high end restuarant. And I quote. "The OG is the OG." Dessert delivered and had to wait. Flagged him down by finally calling him twice from two tables away that we needed PLATES. Again, absurdly poor service. Finished our meal, paid, and left. Valet brought up our vehicle, stepped out looking for a tip and went back to the canopy; not bothering to get the door for my date and my 74 year old mother. And finally, thank goodness, when we got home discovered that the leftovers we were given to take home wasn't even our food. Will never recommend Mastros to anyone.

   'Mastro's is ALWAYS Consistent! Food, Service, Ambiance = A++; You cannot go wrong with anything on the Menu. The Service is Fantastic. Great place to go Pre-Theatre or Post-Theatre or anytime for any occasion!

   The hostess honestly could care less, even arriving early for the reservation. Service at the bar was great. Our order was not taken after 45 minutes of being seated. The bread basket was full of a variety and quite yummy.This restaurant has radically different service than the Las Vegas location. I will keep going back to the Vegas restaurant. There are plenty of other choice restaurants in the South Coast Plaza district and just down at Newport that have better service. In fact, there are better restaurants in walking distance.

    Perfect evening experience. We told our server that we were heading to a show across the street and they were extra prompt with service insuring our timely arrival across the street.
