Lovely setting right next to the Lesher. The crab arancini and sea bass were both delicious and of generous size. The server was very gracious as she helped us choose our wine.

We've eaten at Massimo's many many times over the years and have always had a great time. The servers are kind, very professional, and always in good spirits. The food is always fresh and tasty. For us it's a cherished neighborhood dining spot that's within walking distance of our home. People do occasionally bring their kids, but the crowd is -- usually -- mostly adults of all ages. There is a great full classic bar with piano and there's always a few regulars hanging out. It's just a really nice place and we feel lucky to have it here in Walnut Creek.

We had some special dietary needs when we visited this time, and also needed to time our dinner with a theater visit. Our waitstaff was professional and efficient, but also kind. The food was delicious. Decent wine selection, too.

My fillet was dry and overcooked. I ordered it medium but it was medium well on the thicker end (hint of pink) and well on the slightly thinner end (no pink whatsoever). As I did not want to wait to have them redo it while my wife finished eating alone on her birthday dinner, I did not say anything. My wife’s salmon was good but very buttery, according to my wife. Wife’s Caesar salad was very good. Both glasses of wine were really good— even my wife’s $11 cab. Will probably stick to pasta next time.
